This wonderful idea came from McQueen 2.0!
"I can't wait until we tell the scientists all the fun stuff we did at rainbow monkey happy sugar land" Kuki explained walking down the street wearing her green space suite.
Numbuh four didn't seem to be listening, the words Hoagie said earlier still rang in his mind
"You two are going to be in there for like a buhmillion hours, you have to tell her"
How could he tell her? It was too easy to just make something up and not tell her.
He turned to Kuki who was going on about how much fun she had with him and took a risk
"That's it! I have been trying to tell you something all day" His cheeks where a light shade of red as he spoke "And it can't wait any longer"
Kuki's POV
I wasn't sure what Wally was going to say, would he say it? He had tried many times before but usually just stopped in the middle. No one was here to interrupt him this time, a light blush spread across my face.
"Numbuh three….I….I" he put his white gloved hands over mine
"Yes?"
"….You've got a popcorn kernel in your teeth, Its been there since this morning and I thought you should know"
I stopped smiling and my eyes widened. That wasn't a confession and I wasn't sure if he only said that to cover up the truth but sure enough there was an uncooked kernel in my teeth.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I swung my fists at him, both disappointed and embarrassed
"Cause whenever I do you start hitting me!" He yelled back
"I am so embarrassed, in front of all those rainbow monkeys too"
Wally started walking away muttering something under his breath, then he stopped. Before I could ask him what's wrong he muttered
"Why do I cruddy love her" then kept walking
"What Wally?" I asked and he jumped, I guess he didn't know how close I was behind him
"Err….nothing, forget it" he continued walking
"No What did you say?" I asked
"I didn't cruddy say anything!"
"Did too"
"Did not"
"Did too"
"Did not"
"Did not!"
"Did too" he yelled and then realized what he said, hitting his palm into his face
"What did you say Wally, tell me, tell me, tell me, please?"
"I said you…..where cruddy annoying sometimes" he didn't even look at me and kept walking.
"You act tough Wally but you can't even admit you love me" I said before crossing the street leaving the confused boy alone as the sun went down, speechless.
"What the crud?" He asked himself.
By the time he had caught up to what happened the sun had gone all the way down
"Kuki! Kooks?" he yelled running down the street
I was in no hurry to get back to the tree house so I wasn't far from where I left him
He spotted me and kept running
I stopped
"Kooks" he said out of breath
"Hey Wally" I said less cheerful then usually. It was getting really dark out now; the only light we had was from the street light.
"Kooks, I uh…..you know….."
"Love me?" I finished it for him
"Yeah that but judging by the way you left back there I guess it doesn't matter…" he was fishing for me to correct him but I didn't, he put his head down and started to slowly walk away
"Wait Wally…..your wrong"
"I am?" he asked, he had never been so happy to be wrong in his entire life.
"I do feel the same way about you, I've been waiting for you to admit it, you've tried before but always seem to get interrupted, I was mad today because you just didn't want me to know, no one stopped you but you and I lost hope."
Wally blushed.
"Kooks I-"
He didn't get to finish speaking before I kissed him
