Garrett looked over at Tristan, but he was staring straight ahead, ready for their first mission after Talon had been reformed. Looking down at himself, Garrett felt a calm come over him. He was ready. He took a deep breath and took inventory of his possessions he currently had with him. He made sure he had his phone and wallet. He looked down at the suit he had decided to wear to this. He would have rather been in his Kevlar, but was most definitely fine with the suit. He took another deep breath and looked over to his best friend.
"You ready?" Tristan asked.
"Well, I kinda have to be. We're already in the elevator." Garrett said.
"True, but that doesn't mean you're ready, Perfect Soldier." At the last word, Tristan looked at Garrett with a teasing grin.
"Yeah, yeah, Sniper Boy." Garrett returned, too nervous to come up with anything better. Then, the elevator dinged. Time to go.
As the pair stepped out, Garrett was dazzled, as he was every time, of the view. At the top of the Talon skyscraper, the penthouse for the leader of the organization sat. And there, at the edge of the great window, stood a red-headed girl. The thing was, this girl was no normal girl, as Garrett knew.
She was a dragon.
(A/N) I apologize for this being so short, but seeing as this is my first time using this website, I decided my first chapter should be shorter. I promise the chapters will get longer! I swear! T-T
