Another idea has come to me and that this is my first Mario fanfiction which is a crossover to Kirby. Enjoy the story to see where it will take place and please review. If anyone has any ideas come to my PM. I just can't get enough with my creativity. I just wanted to create a crossover adventure and that I think that Baby Mario is adorable. I don't mean to spoil on this chapter so Don't judge me please! I don't own Kirby and Mario. They both belong to H.A.L Laboratory. A lot of things get crazy on Nintendo am I right?

Kirby's Journey to the Mushroom Kingdom.

Chapter 1 - The baby has landed.

...

Being known as a hero to all and a sworn fighting warrior of the defenseless planet of Pop star went by the name; Kirby of the Stars. He may be small and pink with a big heart that stands above the rest, but the villains won't have their last laugh when they are sucked in by his powerful gust of wind which sends them to who knows where. The child had the ability to absorb the powers of his enemies and was able to use them against them. Even though he has trouble using new ones for the first time in the past.

Dawn has fallen on Dreamland once again. During in the light of day like this people would be hearing birds chirping or the gentle breeze. The blue skies were illuminated with white fluffy clouds while the sunlight bathed the fields in warm temperature. A broom hatter perched on a rock while observing the wonderful details this day has bring as she was taking a break from cleaning up the forest. Though not everyday is like this whenever threats have invaded which involves a dangerous adventure for Kirby. The broom sweeping creature sighed to herself, taking in all of the exhilaration. "Sure is a beautiful day," she mused to herself.

But soon her gazing time was interrupted when she was almost struck by one of the tree roots. The small witch yelped before she runs off while more roots grow. A small pink creature runs off with a basket of apples in tow. "Have to get away, poyo!" He said to himself. "I can't let Whispy catch me or I'm done for." He squealed when he almost lose his balance by a surprise attack then kicks the small root out of the way.

Kirby ran back to his house as fast as he could and far away from the forest. He got in trouble with Whispy Woods once again. He hasn't been catching much fish lately and that he decided to catch apples from Green Greens instead. Luckily he was able to escape the living tree's wrath that he even avoided the angry roots raising from the ground. The pink child would've been plummeted to the grounds if he was captured. Yet Whispy Woods does not appreciate trespassers in his forest. "Po-poya..., that was a close one." He thought with a sigh of relief before he set the apples on top of the table beside the bed. "Next time I should look for food at other places, poyo." The pink child then noticed a thorn that was stuck on his back since the chance and sticks it out. "Literally, poyo." He then lay his soft pink body on the bed, getting comfortable by the sheets of blankets before he yawn. He decided to take a well deserved nap after venturing around the woods. At least he was the rest of the day to himself.

"Take the rainbow coins and go, now!"

"But Daddy I-"

"Please listen to me, you need to keep them safe. You're our only hope. Don't worry about us."

"But-I don't wanna leave you...I can't, I-"

"WHHHOOOAAA!"

BANG!

(*Later in the afternoon*)

Kirby flickered his eyes open. He was greeted by his own home as the sun was almost setting down. He looked at the clock saying that it's 6:33pm. He looked outside as the blue afternoon sky had turned orange. Kirby was a bit surprised at how long he slept yet in his opinion it felt quick. A strange feeling has stolen him from his peaceful dreams and that it feels like something isn't right. Something or somewhere big is happening. Not on Pop star. But what? And where? He then turned to the bowl of apples sitting by the sunlight shone from the window and shrugged. He hasn't been eating all day, despite being all about food. Maybe having a snack will make it go away.

Not able to resist his hunger as usual, the puffball decided to take just some as a late evening snack. He hoped out of bed before his met the floor and grabbed one apple from the bowl.

Just as he was about to take a bite, he felt the ground shaking a bit. Then the rumbling grew stronger which shook Kirby's house. The pink puffball gasped as he dropped his apple and grab onto the table while most objects fell on the floor as some fragile ones and pictures of his friends shattered upon impact. He looks around in panic wondering what's happening. Is it an earthquake? Then he notice the green light glowing from outside. He ran out to the front door and his eyes winded when he witness a giant swirl on the ground as if it's a whirlpool. The gentle wind turned violent. Some of the ground that surrounds the swirl begin to crack by it's force. "Poyo?" What on Pop star is going on? The light grew brighter while the portal grew bigger. Kirby armed himself as he thinks that another evil might strike to threaten his world. Then-

PLOP!

A figure popped out of the ground followed by a shrill shriek. Kirby gasped as six colorful sparkling objects burst out of the portal and scattered all about heading far into the forest. The winds calmed down when the rumbling stopped as well as the vortex disappeared, leaving a gaping hole before a moley pops out and covers it with earth. Just that.

"Oh stars, poyo." He thought with astonishment.

What was that? He then heard moaning coming from behind his house. The pink hero went to investigate as he trotted to the direction where a figure has landed. Not looking where he's going, he then tripped on something. A rock? No, it was a hat. He got up and turned to notice a red hat lying on the ground. For somehow to Kirby it looked familiar. When he look at the front, his eyes winded in surprise when he saw a red 'M' logo printed on it. "Wait, poyo. I know this hat. This...this belongs to Mario, poyo!"

Kirby and Mario had known each other since they were welcomed to Super Smash Bros along with the other game characters. While most people see Kirby as a cute lovable person some of them outside the Smash company don't usually pay attention to the pink child as they consider him to be lame and annoying. But most prefer him as a cool kid such as Sonic or Pit. Plus, Kirby doesn't get invited much to any games Mario is throwing such as kart racing or tennis games. (Which he tried to be okay with).

Kirby picked up the hat and looked around expecting the red plumber to be here. He heard someone moaning again. Could it be Mario? He slowly made his way to the location and found someone lying on the ground unconscious. No, it wasn't Mario...sortta. The figure happens to be a small human baby wearing red shirt and blue overalls and blue shoes. Well, this toddler is like Mario, but only babyish. Kirby was confused at why he is seeing an infant version of Mario. He then decided to press on and gently carried the child in his house. The small hero of Dreamland placed the unconscious boy on his bed. He then check to see if he's okay.

"Mmm, could this baby be Mario's or that he IS Mario, poyo?" He thought in wonder and concern. Soon, the boy regained consciousness and begins to wake up and jolted his head from the pillow. He looked around the house in panic. He then noticed Kirby standing there and they only stare at each in silence. You can hear the clock ticking throughout every second. Kirby dosen't know what to do now if he would either just and there or do something. Well, the puffball decided to just say something afterwards.

"Uh...hi."

The boy jumped out of bed and looked around. "Where...where are they?!" he asked in panic.

"What?" The pink child inquired.

The boy then picked up Kirby and shakes him frantically. "The rainbow coins! Where are they?!"

Rainbow coins? When has he heard of that? Kirby then realized something. So that's what those things that came out of the portal are. He then answered. "I don't know, poyo. They flew somewhere far into the forest."

The boy dropped Kirby then ran to look out the window. He looked around observing the world he has landed in right now and that it's slightly unfamiliar to him. "Wh-where am I? What is this place?" He asked, sounding a bit afraid.

"It's okay, your in Dreamland." Kirby answered as he walks up to the toddler. "My name is Kirby. Who are you by the way? You look just like someone I knew, except that he's big."

"My name's Baby Mario. And wait, you know Mario?" The boy replied.

"Yep. We knew each other in Super Smash Bros, poyo." Kirby nodded. "So you're a baby version of him?"

"Yep, and he's...my dad." Baby Mario answered. Kirby blinked with a surprised expression in response. A baby version that is a son of his adult counterpart. Kinda weird.

"Oh, O-kay then." Was all the puffball could say.

"What?" Baby Mario inquired.

"Nothing, poyo." The puffball replied. He decided to change the subject. "So, how did you end up here?"

"Well, I came from the Mushroom Kingdom. We were having a party and everything was going great. But then, Browser and the koopalings came and ruined everything and they were all too powerful than before. He trapped my Mommy, Daddy, and my friends. My daddy wanted me to take the coins with me to create a portal to escape so that I can find help...and...," The boy couldn't continue any longer as tears wielded up in his eyes. He looked out the window again with sadness. "Oh daddy, I miss you." He whimpered desperately, hoping if his voice would reach his father, but it was inevitable. He wanted to go back home and save them but now he's lost in a different world with the coins lost and scattered somewhere in the forest. He started to sob. Imagining his loved one hurt made him queasy in the stomach. Kirby starts to feel pity for Baby Mario. Bowser always wanted to take over the kingdom and he has succeeded this time. Mario had sacrificed his freedom to save his son. He decided that the only way to fix this problem is to help him. He tapped the boy's back, getting his attention and interrupting his despair.

"Don't worry. Poyo, I'll help you find the coins so that we'll be sent back to the mushroom kingdom and stop Bowser and the koopalings." He said.

"You?" Baby Mario sniffed.

"Yep. Though I may be small, but I'm also a hero." He tapped on his pink stomach which the tiny stars burst out from. "I don't know where we'll begin, poyo, but Mario is my friend and I want to help."

This cause the toddler to form a smile as he wiped away his tears. Kirby's words were like his prayers are answered. His sadness was now replaced with excitement. "You will? Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!"

Kirby giggled at the child's happiness. "Sure thing. But it's getting a little late for adventuring. How about we do this tomorrow morning okay."

He does have a point there. Nighttime has now come. "Okay." Baby Mario shrugged. "Maybe I can trust this Kirby guy." He thought. His stomach then growled. "I'm hungry, can we eat something?"

"Sure." Kirby nodded. He then went into the fridge and brings out a leftover star shaped pizza from his 25th anniversary party before he heats it in the microwave and hands it over to Baby Mario.

"For you." said the pink puffball.

"Thanks." the toddler smiled before he began munching.

They sat next to each other and began to chat while they watch some random cartoons on TV.

"So you'll really help me get back home Kirby?" Baby Mario asked.

"I promise Baby Mario I will, poyo." The pink child respond.

"I'm just worried about my parents and my friends." The son of the red plummer said.

"Don't worry. We'll be able to save them when we get to your home." Kirby said.

"Well I may be a baby, but my powers reflect my daddy's."

"Of course." Kirby whispered to himself. Like father; like son.

Later on as they chatted some more they start get tired. Kirby allows Baby Mario to sleep on his bed while the puffball sleeps on the floor with a pile of blankets. They said goodnight to each other before Kirby shuts off the lights. Before he was gonna close his eyes he felt Baby Mario climbing on top of him.

"Uhh, Baby Mario? What are you doing?" He asked looking up at him.

The toddler didn't say anything as he only drifted off to sleep. Kirby let out a small smile before he gets himself comfrable for the night. Tommorow is a BIG day for them.
