The main character's name remains "Alice", but a different Alice from who everyone knows. The book itself never makes any reference, and it doesn't exist in the story I am creating. Alice is resourceful, smart and clever nineteen year old girl. Though traits such as curiosity and acceptance to the strange stay the same.
Characters also share little change. I include Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, The Duchess, The White Rabbit, The Mouse, The Dodo, The March Hare, The Caterpillar, The King of Hearts, The Queen of Hearts, The Gryphon, and The Mock Turtle. Due to how many people confuse the Queen of Hearts with the Red Queen, I leave the Red Queen out.
Speaking of Characters, Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit, March Hare, Dorm Mouse, and Caterpillar are brought in a style similar to anthro, yet the opposite. Meaning, anthro art is giving animals human characteristics, much like personification and inanimate objects. While mine is giving humans animal characteristics.
The Jabberwock, while he only appears in The Looking Glass, will make an appearance.
Characters such as the Golden Afternoon are included as well. As a group of three girls, Rosalina, Liliana, and Violea, and Penelope Goldens. The Goldens.
The time and setting of this story is traditionally Victorian-England, for it is easier for me to imagine and describe. As for Wonderland, it keeps the trademark colorful, yet darkly twisted
