The Good Smell of Home
Abby Archer opened the door to her dorm-apartment. She had recently finished a mission as a Grossologist and she was really tiered. The first thing she noticed when she opened the door was the wonderful aroma of boiling food. The redhead smiled as she breathed it in.
Out from the kitchen came Chester. He was taller than her now and while his hair was still relatively long it was shorter than it was back in high school. Chester had been purged of the Kid Rot parasite so his powers were gone and his skin had returned to its sienna brown tone. Without the need for wearing polyester, Chester now wore a brown soft jacket made of wool. Some things were the same thou, like his innocent smile and warm, kind eyes.
"Hey beautiful." Chester greeted and walked up to her. He cupped her cheeks and kissed her gently as Abby placed her hands on his shoulders. "You missed biology class."
"Yeah." Abby sighed tiered as she rested her head on her boyfriend's shoulders and wrapped her arms around him. "The bureau called me in for a mission. Did you give the professor an excuse?"
"I told her you were sick." Chester replied and calmly stroked her back.
"I might as well be. I'm so tired."
Chester smiled a bit. "Well, you do don't have to work anymore today. I have been making Linguine Pasta with mushrooms for us."
"I am lucky to have you Chester." Abby exclaimed and nuzzled into his shirt. Chester didn't stink anymore. He smelt good, he smelt like Chester.
"I know. You are a terrible cook." Chester joked.
A light chuckle escaped Abby's throat and she hugged him a bit tighter.
Author's Note:
This was a scene I actually thought on for one of my multi-chapter fanfics in where Abby & Ty attends a University, along with LabRat, Chester, Jasmine and Andy. Abby & Chester (now a couple) moves in together while Ty and his friends moves into a frat house. All the while, Abby & Ty would continue as Grossologists.
The problem is that I have so many ideas for fanfics (especially Grossology projects) so I don't know if I will actually get around to actually write it but I am glad I got to write this little moment.
I hope you enjoyed this story and I value your reviews.
