It s midnight in Cardiff, the sky is black yet the silent streets are bathed in the glow of street lamps. Rain begins to pour down, shattering the silence and the pavement glistens like fools gold. Two figures emerge, prominent in the darkness, laughing, clearly revelling in each other s company. One wears a smart, pinstripe suit, the other in a thick military coat. Lovely night for a walk sir the younger man says, sarcasm tinting his words. Jack sighs, he takes the young Welshman s hand and links it with his own, the gaps between each man s fingers fit the others perfectly like a jigsaw puzzle. They amble through the city hand in hand, neither speaking a word. As the night grows colder Ianto shivers and Jack pulls them into a deserted alleyway to shelter from the now fleeting rain. They embrace and the Captain wraps his greatcoat round the both of them, his warm breath ghosting over Ianto s neck making him shiver once again. They stay like this for what seems like an eternity before Ianto breaks the contact and clears his throat. We really should be getting back to the hub, the others will wonder where we are and we re supposed to be catching ---- Shhhh... Jack hushes him as he strokes Ianto s dampened hair and caresses his worried face, contenting him once again. We know they caught the weevil, there s nothing to worry about. I told them they could go straight home, if not you know how cranky Owen will be in the morning Ianto chuckles at this and is immediately consumed by the Captain s arms again. He doesn t resist but simply slips his arms around Jack s waist like he can t get close enough while Jack smiles and absent-mindedly runs his fingers through his young lover s hair. Ianto snuggles closer still, whispering into Jack s chest,
Rwy'n dy garu di Whether Ianto knows what he s said was audible or not, Jack doesn t need to guess what the words mean. Still he doesn t reply but gently lifts Ianto s chin to gaze into his eyes. Blue meets blue and a look says a thousand words, never mind the three Jack Harkness so desperately wants to say but knows he never can. Instead Jack flashes his famous cheeky grin and their lips finally meet in a passionate kiss that sends both men s minds reeling. The cold precipitation, still falling is forgotten and they are immersed in each other, thinking of nothing but the feel of the other s probing tongue and moist lips. Completely subdued in their own personal bliss. This time it is Jack who finally breaks the contact. They smile at each other and Jack presses a gentle kiss to Ianto s forehead. Ianto closes his eyes before feeling himself being dragged out of the alleyway back onto the moonlit Cardiff streets. Any chance of a coffee when we get back Ianto looks up at his Captain, of course si- Jack They link hands once again heading for the warm, safe hub, this time talking animatedly to one another. They laugh as the rain finally stops and they merge back into the darkness.
