"Dad!" Detective Erin Voight walked into the precinct, Jay hot on her heels. She stormed into Hank's office and slammed the door behind her. "Erin Henrietta Voight, what's wrong?"

"I'll tell you what's wrong! Detective fucking Ricci!" Hank placed a placating hand on her shoulder. "Erin honey, calm down and tell me what's wrong!"

Erin laid her head on his shoulder as she began to talk.

"You work for Hank Voight in Intelligence, and you're lecturing me. Save it," Detective Ricci said to Erin.

"My name is Detective Erin Voight. I am his daughter! Do not even consider talking shit about my goddamn father again, or I swear I'll stick your badge so far up your ass that you won't even know what century it is, " Erin screeched.

"Erin! Let's go!" Jay Halstead gripped his partner's hand and pulled her away.

-Present Time-

"Whoa kid, you got balls. I'm proud of you. Kind of wish Jay wouldn't have intervened. She wrapped her arms around him and squeezed. "Me too daddy. I am not going to let anybody talk shit about you because you are all I have left." Hank leaned down and kissed her forehead.

"When did I ever get so lucky? I have two awesome kids." Erin pulled back and leaned up to kiss his cheek. "I'd say I'm luckier. I'm a Voight through and through. I'll never be more grateful for anything than I am for that."

"Never say never honey. Never say never."
