Author Notes: Yet another drabble. I know it's short.

A Perfect Day for Drifting

"No! NOOOOOO!" screamed Zoro, throwing his arms above his head and shaking them. "I will not be the only one left!"

A few hours earlier

It was shaping up to be a great day. The sun hadn't even risen yet and it was already getting ridiculously hot. Luffy yawned, stretching his arms high above his head. Today was the perfect day for drifting. Spotting a good spot on the deck the captain slumped down, pulling his straw hat over his eyes. Yes, today was the perfect day for drifting around aimlessly . . .

Nami had gotten into her bikini and found the perfect spot to get a tan. Of course, it helped that she could easily hit on Sanji while he was cooking. Usopp was helping fish, so the only one not out on the deck was Zoro.

Something about the heat of the day had worried Zoro, so he kept indoors, watching carefully as the sun rose. Nothing happened until about noon.

With a confident smile on her almost-bronzed face, Nami walked over to where she had last seen Luffy. She had an entire speech prepared about much they needed to dock the boat so that she and Sanji could have dinner sometime. But as she saw Luffy, all that came out of her mouth was a gasp, for all that was left of Luffy was a straw hat and a melted pool of something skin-colored.

"Ahhh! Oh my god! He melted! Sanji! Sanji!" Nami cried desperately, running back around to where he had been fishing. She glanced down at her arm; it was happening to her too. Sobbing with fear, she looked upon the melted bodies of Sanji and Usopp.

Screaming and covering her face with her hands she dropped to her knees. Oh, the heat. . . Zoro was right. . .

"Hey, c'mon, we have to get inside!" Hearing Zoro's voice Nami looked up and tried to take her hands from her face. With a tremor of horror she realized they had gotten stuck to her face like chewed gum gets stuck to a shoe. Glaring and gritting his teeth, Zoro grabbed Nami's gooey-arm and began to drag her wailing body inside.

"We're . . . almost . . . there . . . just . . . a little . . . farther," gasped Zoro as he pulled her along. But suddenly, the resistance was gone. With a look of shock on his face he turned around to find a fast-melting puddle of Nami on the ground and some sticky crap in his hand.

"No . . ." he whispered, backing away from the puddle. He could feel himself melting already. "No! NOOOOOO!" He threw his arms above his head and shook them. "I will not be the only one left!"

For once, the sun listened, taking pity on the poor swordsman. The bright ball of gases in the sky melted him down quickly; the wind, just to spite people, made the puddle of Zoro mix with the puddle of Nami. The ship then abruptly sank to the bottom of the sea, the puddles of people mixing into the water and spawning some nasty sharks.

And so, the crew of the Merry Go was killed, and Luffy's journey ended before it had even began.
