So far it seems that Visiting Ikebukuro is becoming a popular story of mine from the emails that I've been getting from it (story alerts, favorite, etc.). Right now I'm at a bit of a jam with what to write for that story, as well for the others that I had posted. So, I decided to do this after reading some nuzlockes from deviantart. Except, this isn't a nuzlocke since I'm still baffled by the rules (some of them I can't make myself do).
I own nothing but my flashdrive and (lack of) imagination.
Preface
Somewhere in a private resort, a woman in her mid-30s was shoveling dirt in a dug up pit. By the edge of the pit was a handmade cross made from an old hickory tree. A name was carved into the cross; 'Xander.' At the bottom of the cross was a midsize stone with its own carving of letters; 'A loving friend, partner, and father. Is gone, but will NEVER be forgotten.'
"There. Anymore last words before we leave, Seth."
The Charmeleon in question looked up. "I've said all that needed to be said at the ceremony. I just hope that wherever he is, Father would forgive me."
"His passing wasn't your fault, Seth. Like people, Pokemon get old, and, unfortunately, die. Xander was already at his limit. He wouldn't want you to feel this way because time caught up with him."
Seth sighed. "I know. If he was still alive, Dad would've whacked me over the head with his tail just thinking about it! Thanks, Boss."
"No problem, Seth. That's what friends do," the woman said, kneeling on her knees and drew the Charmeleon into a hug. Seth hugged back.
"…Now we have to give the same 'talk' to your father."
"I think Mom already beaten us to it."
"So, how come you couldn't bring Hibiki with you from Johto? I've always thought that he wanted to see Kanto where you've lived."
"He, too, is attending a funeral."
"A funeral? For who?"
"…His father."
"The doucebag? Why?"
The woman sighed. "It's true that the man wasn't the best husband out there…but he was a great father. Of course, he had never hit Hibiki's mother in front of the boy, even though the jackass made the mistake of hitting her in front of me." She sighed again. "Anyways, Hibiki's father died while hiking Mt. Silver. The nurse that was working in the Center located near the mountain found his body. Of course, she couldn't tell if the corpse was human or not."
"Couldn't tell?"
The woman nodded. "Turned out that it was a wild Pokemon that killed him. Hell, from the injuries it looked like the Pokemon was eating him! I've seen Pokemon kill before, but never like this!"
"Well, I say that the bastard deserved what he got. What was he doing at Mt. Silver, anyways?"
At that the woman stopped walking. Automatically, Seth stopped walking as well. The woman thought about the question before finally answering.
"He was looking for the boy that lived on Mt. Silver; the boy that I've been telling Hibiki about in his bedtime stories."
Negativity is not welcomed. Improvements are, though. Also, underline words are Pokemon talk because I can't do all that 'Pika pika', 'char char' speech. I really don't know the names of the parents of the main characters, so I may have to make some up. Of course, that would be a pain to do on my part since I'm not good at naming things, and the baby book I made my parents get (just to name my Pokemon) doesn't help me as much since there's like a thousand and something names in there. Crap is what I'm thinking at the moment.
