She is so beautiful, portrait of a sunset.
I love her.
I can say that now without having to worry about any repercussions. My marriage is over.
So is my relationship with Samantha.
I knew it wouldn't be forever, but I didn't think I'd miss her as much as I do.
I didn't think I'd fall in love with her either.
Sometimes I wonder if we could have made it work. Or maybe it was just the thrill of an affair that drew us together—
No. I know that's not true. We had something more than just an affair.
Still, I wish I'd told her I loved her.
I'm just trying to warn you that you're bound to get hurt.
She smiles at you the way she used to smile at me. You know what I mean: her head tilts slightly to the side, her eyes crinkle at the corners and there's a spark there that few people get to see.
(That's my smile.)
You're not her type. I wish I could say that without sounding like the jealous, middle-aged ex-lover that I am.
I stayed with Maria for so long because it was safe. It was what I knew.
Samantha doesn't love you; you know that, right? She's just going to break your heart, Martin.
You're the rebound guy.
