Dressed in a long silver, black, and red dress, a girl slowly walked down the long spiral staircase and entered the Slytherin common room. It was a dimly lit room and being located under the lake it had the appearance of having a green light. Roranne looked around the room, a few people still were hanging around waiting for dates, checking themselves for makeup, talking with friends, but not her. This girl pulled on her mask before anone could see her, they all thought she was still in her room, doing whatever it was that she did, most thought Dark Magic, others thought she just sat there thinking.

Roranne looked at the full length mirror that was standing beside her, her reflection looked back at her, she was momentarly stunded at her appearance. Her blue eyes were lined with black pencil, her eyelids were black and blue, they shone brightly through her black mask that covered only the areas around her eyes. Her black hair had blue highlights in it and was pulled up into a half ponytail. Her noramlly straight hair had been curled earlier that day.

Roranne smoothed her dress on her stomache, the top over her chest was silver, down the middle it was red, and the rest of it black. She looked very pretty but couldn't help but feel a bit nervous, she never normally wore this sort of thing, it was usually black pants, a black or white shirt, with her hair left hanging in her face. Roranne couldn't really tell why she was even going to this dance. Yes, she could:

It was a few days ago when she had found a bottle outside the door with her name on it. She opened it and read: I have been watching you from afar for too long and was hoping that you would meet me at the Masquerade. It was sighed: Your wondering eyes.

She had no idea where it came from, or who it came from, all she knew is that she would have to give this a try and go. For herself, and her curiousity on who it was that sent her the note. So here she was, walking down the hallway, looking for anyone in a silver mask. That was what she was looking for and there was no guy in a silver mask that she could see...no one...was it all just a set up? At least she had her own mask on her pale face, she would have to leave before midnight when they all took their masks off for everyone to see.
