Leaf-fall Rain
I saw you that day
That gloomy, somber
Leaf-fall day; your head
Low and your eyes dull
As you looked towards
A dreary grey sky
I saw the rain pelt
Down from overhead
And stain your matted
Fur; I saw the hope
In your blue eyes, and
I walked over to
You; I told you to
Hide from the tears of
The dark silver sky
But you told me you
Liked to feel the mist
The drops on your face
You had met my gaze
With confident orbs
And you told me you
Admired the rain
Because it was the
One place you could
Hide and cry and
Disappear, and you
Could just be you
