Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot.
It was a beautiful night, Valentine's Day 2005. A young couple was walking through a quiet neighbourhood, snow delicately floating through the air. His hair was a white-blond colour, while her locks were of a dark chocolate. He was taller than her, but not by much. His features were sharp and pointed, where hers were soft and round. Hands entwined they walked along, leaving footprints in the snow behind them. It seemed like a picture on a postcard, just the two of them and snowflakes swirling around. If there had been anyone around, they may have noticed the young man seemed nervous, sort of stiff and uncomfortable. The woman by his side however either didn't notice or ignored it, for she was chatting happily, resting her head on the man's shoulder. A simple passerby would never know, but this couple had been through hell and yet stood together the whole time. Their love brought out the best in each other, a side others may not have seen before. No one else had a love like theirs. No one else knew how much they really loved each other. They weren't bound together by fleeting feelings, no their love was much stronger than that. No one else knew where they were tonight. For once they were alone, enjoying the peacefulness that wasn't found anywhere else.
As they walked along the young man started to slow down before facing the young woman. No one else saw his lips move, mouthing words of love and affection. No one else saw him as he slowly got down on one knee. No one else heard the words he spoke. 'Astoria Greengrass, would you do me, Draco Malfoy, the honor of becoming my wife?' No one saw the beautiful sapphire ring he held out for her. No one else heard her hands clap over her mouth, her head nodding enthusiastically. No one else saw as he slipped the engagement ring on her finger. No one else saw as he dipped his soon-to-be bride and kissed her with pure love. No one else saw as she then threw her arms around him. No one else saw them stand in each other's embrace, neither wanting to let go. Because at that moment, there was no one else in the world.
