The Pirate and Blacksmith

Ahoy you lovers of scurvy doggeral! "The Owl and the Pussy-Cat" PotC style!
A poetical filk with apologies to Edward Lear.

The Pirate and Blacksmith went to sea
Commandeering a ship so bold,
To rescue a girl, and to reclaim the Pearl
From dread pirates cursed by Aztec gold.

The Pirate said to the Blacksmith "Will, Your dad was a pirate too,
But a good man still was Bootstrap Bill,
Can you square that and sail with a pirate crew
From Tortuga to save your love true?"

The Blacksmith replied "What you say is a lie"
But seeds of doubt had been sown,
The truth later released as a bargaining piece,
Saving lives in exchange for his own.

To the Isle de la Muerta they did sail,
A mighty ship battle was fought!
Marooning survived when the Navy arrived,
And the showdown was fought by the sword, the sword,
On the island and ship's deck by sword.

"Why Jack, you just wasted that one shot you waited
10 years for?" Said Jack "Not so, mate"
Our heroes returned and the law overturned,
Saving Jack from a grim hanging fate.

But Will and Liz parted that same day,
Kohl-lined eyes calling Will where to go,
Their true love prevailed, and Jack and Will sailed
On the Pearl for adventure's horizon, Yo ho
Drink up me hearties, Yo ho!
