Mia was four when she decided her brother was going to be a knight, he was the bravest person ever in the world she told herself (and others) the elder boys in the village said Lancelot couldn't be a knight because only nobles became knights but mia knew that her brother would be a knight one way or another
When Mia was seven Lancelot took her to play in the woods and they fought the dragons, and he even let her be the knight and she saved him that's when she decided her brother was also the kindest person because other brothers made their sister be the ones to get saved but lance told her she could save herself because she was as brave as anyone, Mia didn't think she could be as brave as her brother
At nine years old Mia knew that her brother properly couldn't kill a dragon but he was still going to be a knight she made him promise her he'd be a knight so he could protect other people like he protected her
When she turned ten Lancelot made her a wooden sword and even taught her how to use it, he spent the whole day playing with her and mia would remember it as one of the best days she'd ever had
Mia was fourteen before she noticed her brother wasn't invincible, he'd been sick and it wasn't right to see Lance looking so helpless, she didn't want to see him like that again it made her feel ill herself to watch him
When Mia was seventeen she died, a fever was what took her and she looked back on her favourite memories, she made her brother promise her he'd become a knight like she'd always wanted him to be, he told her he would, for her.
On that same day Lancelot told her she was the bravest person he knew she thought this was funny because she'd grown up seeing him that was, she was glad he was proud of her
when Mia was four Lancelot knew she was going to be stubborn always refusing to believe what others told her, sticking to what she thought and it made him smile that she didn't give in,
He use to take her to play in the woods, she loved it there playing that she was killing dragons, that she was saving people he liked knowing his sister believed in herself he knew she'd be able to protect herself when she grew up.
Mia had made him promise to become a knight, he humoured her she was only a little girl after all she didn't understand that he would not be allowed to become a knight
He would spend Mia's birthdays with her playing what ever she wanted him too, and she'd laugh and smile and tell him how he was the best and he'd smile back glad to make her happy
He knew she worried when he was ill, she never seen him really ill if he could help it that look she had when she did see him was enough for him to know he wouldn't want her to see it again, she looked scared, that wasn't something she often looked
Mia died of a fever when she was 17 and it was properly what would be the worst day in his life, he'd tried to keep her healthy to help her get better but it hadn't helped. she asked again if he'd become a knight and she wasn't a little girl this time she was a women he couldn't fool her, so he promised and he'd do anything he could to keep it
before she died he told her how proud of he was of her, how much he loved her and how brave she was, he's glad he got to tell her those things. glad she knows them.
