Water is a way of life: You sway forward into greatness, and jerk back into darkness. For Katara, her blue eyes mellow, she tucked her hands into the ocean. Shutting her eyes, her hands absorbed the energy. The wave gently washed up shore, just as it was smacked onto the sand. Katara opened her eyes, startled; Her mind, racing. Water, she thought, could be torture too. Slamming your opponent and pulling them back into the darkness.
"No…" She whimpered, "…No…."
She shed a tear as she had woken from a peculiar dream. Her hair skimmed her face, as a soft midnight breeze blue. The moon, not yet full, glimmered in her eyes. With no hesitation, she stood and walked over to the shore just as she did in her dream. However, this time lay a peaceful ocean: As water, didn't smack, but thrusted gracefully to the shore and flew back. Like a swing, she thought. Relieved, a tear still dropped onto the frail sand.
Her eyes twitched, as she felt a new presence. Her fists clenched, an orb of water standing aloft. A man, ever so curious stood there; a man, with a blue arrow that symbolized his special nature.
Aang.
She turned and dropped the orb of pure water. Its colorless vibe had Katara wonder if it was edible… She fell to her knees, and covered her bright red, soggy eyes.
"Katara…"
She didn't reply, as she attempted to wipe her fierce tears whom still came rushing down, even if she fought back.
"Katara, look at me…" Aang lifted her head, and she slowly blossomed away her slim fingers from her frightened eyes.
"We all have nightmares…but just know we're here for you…"
He finally added, "I am here for you…"
Her pale cheeks had gained a magenta color; as if a bright pink tulip had finally embraced the sunlight that hadn't come for so long.
Aang leaned in.
Katara had still hung there, frustrated.
"You're right, it was just a nightmare…" Her head turned the other way, reluctant.
Persistently, he stood in his position, close. Finally, she turned her head and their eyes met. She leaned in to his body—heat inflicting. Katara angled her narrow chin, aligned with Aang's. Aang couldn't hold himself back any longer, and he rushed in for a kiss. Ever so peaceful, in quite some time. Last time, he kissed her just before his unfortunate raid plan had failed. In time, however, he dares compensate for the mistake during Sozin's Comet.
She lunged in, arms wrapped around his neck. Appa, however, had ruined the moment when he too, woke from a nightmare. Their eyes widened, and in time they finally let go before Toph and Sokka could see.
