He picked up the knife, letting it lag slightly in his hand, "Why so serious?" He asked.
The man in front of him gave a cry of pain, then fell to the ground, dead.
It seemed that The Joker had killed someone else. Some thug that no one was going to loose their head over, should he die.
The man watching him though, had another opinion. "Come down!" The Joke yelled out.
Silently the caped man fell in front of him. His back tall and his form strong. "Why is it that when you kill someone, you seem to not care. You loose who you are."
"Coming from a man in a bat costume. You hide, I know who I am. I know what I'm doing. I also," He licked his lips, "Remember why…" He seemed to smile.
He watched Batman as he drew up further, "You wear make up…How is it that you're not hiding who you are?"
The Joker stepped forward, "I wear makeup to make people smile." He drew his lips up, curling them back.
"You cover up a massacred mess." Batman hissed.
"That may be so…" The Joker began but was cut off.
"You murder people, it's easy to see why you wear made up for other reasons." Batman seemed to spit out.
The Joker stopped smiling, "Why is it that you're so hard to talk to?"
Batman smirked, "Because I don't see things the same way you do." He raised his arm, and pressed some sort of button.
Three spikes in the shape of bats came flying at the Joker. One of them caught deep into his shoulder.
"Ah!" He had said once it made contact with his body.
He then was tripped. He looked up, gazing at the other man.
"Let me help you." The man above him said, his voice soft.
"I don't need help." The Joker yelled.
Batman gave a smile, "No, let me get that out for you." His foot landed onto the Joker's chest. It forced him to the ground, causing him to stay in place as a hand was put onto the spike.
The Joker gave a smile, "This should be fun."
Batman became serious, "Yeah…." His hand then yanked out the spike, listening to a scream as flesh ripped apart.
The Joker withered in pain, sort of just panting there.
"Having fun yet?" The man asked him.
"You have no idea." The Joker gasped out, laughing slightly.
He listened as the man took his foot off of him, "You're going back to Arkham."
The Joker let his head fall back, letting his lips part and whisper out, "Damn…"
The End.
