I do not own Shaman King. I do not own Autumn Story.

A fanfiction inspired by Autumn Story, a Korean drama. I haven't seen it all or anything, I just saw a few of the episodes years ago, and even though I didn't know the characters at all, it was so sad and it moved me so much. So, this fanfiction is loosely based on the drama. Not too much though.

~Gone With A Photo~

"You're going to live, Anna... You have to..."

Kyouyama Anna's hollow eyes stared at her fiancé who was clutching her hand desperately. Her eyes met Asakura Yoh's dark eyes which were wet with hidden tears. Anna's eyes softened and she smiled lightly.

"I know I have to live... I still have to train you... Who knows if you're going to slack off once I'm gone? Besides... there is still Funbari Onsen that you have t-" Anna was cut short when she started to cough.

"Anna!" Yoh worriedly looked at the woman he loved most. Why did it have to be her? Why the person HE loves? Why did God have to take away his source of happiness? No... Anna was still alive. She will survive. She's not going to die...

When Anna's coughs subsided, she smiled weakly at Yoh.

"I'm fine.... I'm fine..."

But Yoh knew that Anna was just trying to reassure him. When he looked into her eyes, he saw the pain she was trying to withstand. He felt so useless. Unable to help his fiancée through the painful ordeal... What kind of future husband was he?! Anna's voice shook him out of his thoughts.

"Yoh... Let's take a picture." Yoh shook his head.

"No Anna. We'll take as much picture as you want when you get better. Not when you're sick though."

"Please... I want to be able to look at my sick picture and remember that I had survived it. Please Yoh... Please..." And... to leave something behind when I die... Anna thought.

Yoh sighed and he gave Anna a light peck on the cheek.

"I'll be back soon," he said as he left the room to buy a camera. Ten minutes later, he was back to Anna's bedside where she lay.

"Ok. One picture, Anna. Just one." Anna nodded and Yoh asked a nurse, who was passing by, to take a picture of both of them. Yoh placed his arms around Anna, who was laying her head on his shoulder. Anna smiled the best she could as she stared at the camera.

"Ok! One...Two... Three, cheese!"

------

Dear Yoh,

Yoh. I'm wrote this while you were gone to buy the camera. If you're reading this, I must be dead. I'm sorry Yoh. But.. I knew I was going to die soon. Death is inevitable. Yoh, you were the person I loved most. You showed me what life was. You saved me before I got sucked into the black hole of emptiness. Thank you Yoh. You were the best fiancé I could ever have. You stood by me when I lay sick on the bed. I caused so much pain to you. Thank you for putting up with me. Thank you... I love you Yoh. I'm sorry I had to leave this world before you. I pray, that one day... I'll meet you again.. Maybe as a spirit... Even if you can't see me... Please remember... I'm always with you.

Love,

Kyouyama Anna

Yoh crumpled the letter that a nurse handed to him and looked at the grave in front of him.

-Asakura Anna- Rest in Peace.

After staring at the tombstone, he reached into his pockets to pull out the picture he took with Anna while she was sick. Anna was smiling. He could tell she was pained but she still smiled... for him. The tears Yoh had kept inside started to fall from his eyes unconsciously. The tears he had held back, afraid that Anna might be worried. They all fell out of him.

She was gone. Anna was gone and she left him a photograph.

"Anna... I love you."

~THE END~

Ok. A sad piece. I liked it anyway.
