Chapter 1

Isabell ran through the forest. She was draped in a black suite like a ninja, A head scarf covering her mouth and nose, and a black hood. She had a silver sword on her back and two gold daggers on her hips. On her left hip, a satchel of Prince James new jewels. Like he needs them? He's a prince. He has plenty of diamonds.

While Isabell is wanted for stealing, conning, and a little murdering. She is knows as Shadow Bandit. But under her black clothes she is pale with icy blue eyes and long red hair. Lucky for her, no one can see that.

"Stop you thief!" a guard yelled. Isabell laughed. "Sure I will!" Isabell heard a bow string get pulled back and she drew a breath. Isabell fell on her hands and the arrow flew over her. Then, only using strength in her arms, Isabell pushed herself up and continued to run.

Quicker than light, Isabell drew her knives and decked the nearest tree. Arrows flew by Isabell's ears, but she was too lean and quick to be caught. Isabell hid in a shadow, disappearing. Under her, the guards looked around the tree looking for a trace of her.

Quickly and silently, Isabell cut off the knot on the tree and tossed it far in the opposite direction she was heading. A doe got scared and ran. "She's that way!" the guard yelled running after what was really a doe. Isabell leaped tree to tree until she came to an abandoned castle. A year ago the royal family moved to the Grant Castle from here, now its home to Isabell.

Isabell leaped to a pine that lead to a window in a high tower. Isabell leaped and jumped on her bed. Today was Isabell's closest catch. She narrowly escaped. So now she was felling adventurous. Isabell took off her cloak and scarf. She has been a fugitive for almost a year now and she doesn't change clothes too often.

Because this belonged to royalty it looks nice. But Isabell has never left this one room. "I'm gonna do it," she mumbled to herself. She stood up and walked to her door. But then she saw something that caught her eye. Isabell opened the closet and saw a journal. She picked it up and read the cover;

Grand Castle and its Secrets

This was too good to be true, but Isabell couldn't care less. She opened the book and to read but saw nothing. "What the crap is this?" Isabell asked. A little prankster obviously.

But far away, Prince James sat in his room holding a notebook called Grant Castle and its Secrets. The thirteen year old prince was thirteen with blonde hair and bright blue eyes. He just found a journal and he was planning to write in it of course.
