Things before reading: This is just a very short "blurb" I thought of based on my much longer, chapter fanfiction, Switch the Fish (title subject to change.) If you like this and want to read it, you'll have to wait because I'm not posting it until I'm done with it so as to not disappoint anyone by not updating. I don't think I'll have it done until at least next summer. In the mean time, if you like really raunchy stuff, check out my one-shot "Happy" which is also based on my fanfiction. That one is definitely for mature readers only. This, however, is not (even though it may imply in some places!) I really hope you all enjoy the read!

...

A heavy vibration in the mattress startled me from my sleep. When I looked up to see what had caused it, I saw Itachi sitting up beside me, breathing heavily with sweat accumulating on his face and back. He must've had another really bad dream about his memories. In a half state of sleep, I threw on my bra and underwear so that I could quickly retrieved a cold, wet towel, dabbed his face with it, and placed it around his neck. I also grabbed a cup of water for him to cool down.

The poor guy occasionally had nightmares about the night he killed his family, and they could get really bad. I felt useless that I couldn't help him. Because of my kekkei genkai, I couldn't dream, so I had very little knowledge about the impact of memories on dreams and how to control them. Therefore, I had no advice for him. I didn't have any tricks or medicine or healing techniques. The realm of his dreams was beyond my medical training, even though they seem to have such an effect on him. All I could do was wake him up.

His breathing slowed down as I gently caressed his back with the tips of my fingers. It took him a little more than a minute to completely wake up. He closed his eyes and breathed slowly but deeply for a while. I continued rubbing his back, adding pressure as his skin cooled.

We sat in the dark with only the sound of air filtering through his nose until he broke the silence. In a weak whisper, he simply said to me, "Thank you, Indri."

"You're welcome, honey," I replied. "Do you need anything?" He didn't respond verbally. He just shook his head slowly. After he took a few sips of water and threw the towel onto the floor, he reached around me to put the cup on the side table.

While pulling me back down onto the bed, he mumbled, "Let's go back to sleep."

"Okay," was all I said as we cuddled under the sheets. He gave my lips a deep kiss, and I tangled my legs tightly in his. We switched roles, and he began stroking my back and arm with his much stronger hands. Within moments, we both ended up falling into a black, dreamless sleep.
