Author's note: Hello again! ^.^ I wrote this a while ago and I just thought that since I'm posting a new chapter AND a completely new story today, why not post this as well?
So anyway, this poem takes place in the second movie and is my first attempt at a song fic, so I hope I am doing this right. :)
The song that goes along with this is "In The End" by Linkin Park, one of my favorite songs. I was thinking about transformers while humming it and this poem came to me, afterwards, I realized how well parts of the song fit the scene I was thinking of.
The words that are in italics are the original lyrics, I have some of them incorporated into the poem but it really just follows along.
Disclaimer: Unless one of the members of Linkin Park is secretly a girl, or I magically became an adult overnight and was hired as one of the people that own their songs, then no, I do NOT own Linkin Park OR any of their songs/lyrics... It's kind of sad that I even need to say this...
Anyway, I hope you enjoy! ^.-
One thing I don't know why
No matter how hard I tried, it was never enough...
I kept everything inside
But even after all of this, I won't complain, after all, I'm not the only one who's had it tough...
Watch it count down to the end of the day
the clock ticks life away
It didn't even matter; I just had to watch my friends go down...
You wouldn't even recognize me anymore
I see blood everywhere, metal being torn apart, and a deathly sound...
There's only one thing you should know
Just like fighting the tide, I am nowhere near that strong...
Pushed as far as I can go
I'm helplessly being pulled back and forth; I can only limply float along...
I had to fall
In the end, I couldn't do anything; I just failed all the same...
It doesn't even matter
I couldn't stop my eyes from falling shut; I couldn't answer all of the voices desperately calling my name.
OK, give me your honest opinion, I want to know what you think...
If you haven't already guessed, this is based off of Sam's point of view and the scene where he "dies".
I like how the poem itself turned out but I'm not to sure about how I it looks as a song fic. It looks kind of weird to me so I need you guy's opinions.
I do think though that it is a pretty good first try for someone who has one, never done this kind of fiction before, and two, for someone who has never actually seen the movie!
Yeah, I know what your thinking, silly right? I've only actually seen the first movie; this is because I am not allowed to watch the second movie at this time. Sad, I know.
SO ANYWAY! I got the details from everything that I have heard about it.
I really want to watch it though... LIFE IS NOT FAIR!
OK, back on track... I have more fiction poems that I can post if you want, (I have a ton of them) they are like the ones I post at the beginning of some of my stories.
Any who, if you like this one and if you like my writing style then please review and tell me so. If enough people review than I will post more, for this category and for others. ^.^
So to conclude, I hope you enjoyed my poem, if not well, as for wasting 5 minutes of your life, I'm sorry but I don't give refunds. Good day to you all. ^.-
Bye! :D
