A/N I don't normally write Noah Puckerman drabbles, but I just had a conversation with my grandmother, who is a retired midwife, about how affected the father is after losing a child and my Glee obsessed mind thought of Noah Puckerman. This is probably going to end up as a muti-chapter fic, depending on the reaction and how I feel about it. And, if I do go further with it, it will most likely turn into a Puckelberry fic, because it usually does.

People Forget

When you hear about a couple losing their child, you automatically ask, "Is the mother alright? How is she? Does she need anything?" When a couple loses their child, people don't think about what the father feels. They think the father didn't carry the child inside of them for 9 months, and he didn't grow attached to it like she did.

Noah Puckerman lost a child. Noah Puckerman didn't even get to hold his daughter before she was taken away from him. Noah Puckerman only glanced at her before her mother told the nurse to take her away. Noah Puckerman only looked at his daughter through a pane of glass before she was adopted and swept away from him for good.

Noah Puckerman named her Beth. Beth was a good name. It was a pretty name, a strong one. Beth. Beth Puckerman. Beth Fabray. Beth Fabray-Puckerman. Beth Puckerman-Fabray. Beth Puckerman.

Quinn Fabray didn't want Beth. Quinn Fabray didn't even want to accept that her name was Beth. Quinn Fabray didn't even accept who Beth's father was. Quinn Fabray didn't want to accept that Noah Puckerman was Beth's father. Quinn Fabray gave Beth up. Quinn Fabray didn't deserve to have her name be any part of Beth's, that's why, to Noah Puckerman, Beth was Beth Puckerman. Not, Beth Fabray. Or, Beth Fabray-Puckerman. Or, Beth Puckerman-Fabray. Just, Beth Puckerman.

So, yeah, Noah Puckerman cried over Beth Puckerman. Noah Puckerman punched a wall over her. Noah Puckerman broke his hand over her. After all, Noah Puckerman wanted Beth Puckerman.

When a couple loses their child, people forget how the father is affected.
