"Jenina?" Nina asked her adorably ignorant roommate Amber.

"Yeah, it's a ship name for you and Jerome!" she explained excitedly. "Like, me and Alfie are Amfie."

"Okay, hold on. Jerome?" Nina asked loudly, and Jerome heard her and came into the living room of Anubis House.

"Yeah, Nins?" he said flirtingly.

"Ugh!" she said and stormed out of the room. Jerome followed her out.

"No offense, Amber," Joy said watching Jerome walk out, "But you did not handle that right."

"What? Is it my fault if I think they're totally and completely in love with each other?"

"Yeah, you should have seen how flabberghasted Nina was when Jerome came in," Patricia added.

"Did I do something?" Jerome asked Nina when he found her in her room.

"Non toxic? Non toxic my ass!" Nina was yelling at a permantent marker. "Smell it and it'll burn your brain!" She threw it at Jerome.

"Whoa, no need to kill me with a permanent marker," he said.

"Sorry, I just hate the smell—"

"Hang on, did you just apologize to me?" Jerome asked, pretending to be shocked.

"Yeah, so I'm capable of remorse. That makes one of us."

"What have I ever done to you?"

Nina paused. What had he done to her? Nothing, it was just that when she first saw him she knew he was a scheming pranking ass. An ass to whom she was extremely attracted to.

"Ahem," Jerome cleared his throat, waiting for an answer.

"Nothing, I guess," she said hesitantly.

"Then can we start over?" She nodded. He came over and put his arm around her, stroking her spinal cord. She looked up at him.

"I can't stand you," she said.

"Oh this is beginning well," he observed.

She rolled her eyes. "You know Amber thinks we're in love?"

"Yeah, what if she wasn't so wrong on that count—at least for one of us," Jerome said.

"Then of course I'd have to apologize for immediately writing you off in hopes that you'll accept so if we ever started dating it wouldn't get off on the wrong—"

Jerome silenced her with a quick kiss. "Apology accepted," he said quietly.
