This is a very short, very sweet one-shot for Ice Krystal's latest writing contest. All the characters, and the Forever Trilogy that this is based off of belong to her. I don't own anything.
It was a day that all of the dex holders knew was coming for a long time. The world was at peace and everything had started to settle down a little. It was still hectic in trying to reorganize a government, considering the people who are creating it are barely considered adults. People were wining and they all got stressed out from all of the work that they had to do, especially Am, considering everyone was looking up to him to try to decide things.
However, there was no politics going on today. Today was a very special day that everyone had marked on their calendars. They were all dressed up for the occasion, even Am, who didn't get this dressed up for his own wedding. Now they all were in a large ballroom, awaiting the guests of honor.
There was chatter going on between the gang, about all sorts of things. Goldy was telling tales of the war, most of which were highly exaggerated, to some girls, which only earned him being hit by Sapph and some laughs at his expense. Grey was sitting at the bar with Am and Plato, talking about training and Pokemon in general, while the rest of the guys were all talking at one of the tables, laughing as Cyan told a joke. Most of the girls were talking in a circle near Dima, who was sitting down with Aqua in her lap.
The talking went on for a while until the lights the dimmed and the giant doors to the main entrance opened. As it did, the guests of honor walked in, smiling at the sight of everyone there for them. As they walked into the large room, Am stood up and spoke in a slightly less snarky tone than usual. "Ladies and gentlemen…and Gold and Fiori, may I present the happy newlyweds!"
Everyone clapped after a moment of Am's siblings rolling their eyes at his usual smartassness. The couple walked to the dance floor and a spotlight went on them as they began to share their first dance as a married couple. Everybody was watching them, but they barely even noticed it, lost in their own happy world, with only them and the music. The pair slow danced for what seemed like an eternity that they never wanted to end for them, with the others just happily watching them.
As the song began to come to an end, the couple kissed each other and the husband whispered in his wife's ear. "I love you Topaz Rosso-Senri, my beautiful wife." She only could smile and whisper back, "And I love you Rubin Senri, my amazing husband." The song finished at the same time her words did and the couple knew that this was going to be the beginning of the rest of their lives. Lives that they would be happily spending with each other.
