He glanced down at her. "For what, child?"

"You didn't let me forget how much I loved him. Uncle, I think I owe you everything."

"You owe me nothing, dear," he said, bringing her hand to his lips; "I only did what a father does. I made my son happy."

Katara smiled. "Well, you made your daughter awfully happy, too."
