This was something that I wrote for a 9th grade project, found, revised, added to, and wanted to post just cause. Like it or hate it, I don't care. Just wanted to finally get something, no matter how small, out in a community. (give back for all the reading and favorites that I do myself)

The youth closed the door; he turned to the King and his daughter, and then asked the princess to marry him. The king was outraged! The king then thought of the ravenous tiger and how 4 of the original 10 men he had sent out were mauled by this beast. "I will only allow you to marry my daughter, if you can slay the tiger," the king announced. While the crowd went wild, the youth, frightened as he was, accepted the challenge. He was given a sword, and the blood thirsty tiger was let out.

The bloody battle began with the tiger pouncing at the youth. The youth quickly dodged and swung his sword at the tiger. The tiger howled out in pain and circled the youth. The tiger again went for the youth only to be repeatedly slashed at when the beast just missed. At one point, the tiger had finally sunk his claws into a bit of flesh in the youth's shoulder. This caused the youth to drop the sword and clutch his shoulder in pain. The tiger noticed this distraction and rushed to make the final strike. The youth scrambled for his sword after hearing the princess's horrified shout, and he too prepared for the final blow. The tiger pounced, aiming for the jugular.

All were silent, everyone focused on the lone figure of the tiger lying limp over top of the youth. Suddenly, the tiger shifts a shoulder. More movement is seen from the tiger, and the quiet is broken by the princess's anguished cries. The tiger is pushed aside and then the youth stands up shakily, but physically alright. The youth stood over the defeated tiger's carcass as the crowd cheered and the maidens come to prepare him for the wedding.

Soon after, the princess and youth were wed. The kingdom rejoiced for their princess was married and their new prince was very kind. The prince and princess soon became king and queen! They banned the judgment and picked a council of just men to divvy out the rightful punishments of the guilty party. The kingdom was very happy with this new system and switched the new carnage shows to have some tigers, bears, or other carnivorous beast hunt down prey in the stadium at least once every two weeks. Everyone lived their lives happily together.

Cliched ending because I couldn't think of how to end it right ;P
