His eyes went wide.

"Answer me!"

"I…I don't know what you're talking about."

She became angrier.

"Fine! If you won't tell me what's going on, I'll find out myself!"

She went to leave and he cautiously grabbed her hand. She turned around to look at him, his eyes full of pleading.

"Please, Daisy, don't be mad."

"Why shouldn't I be mad at you, Virgil?!"

He immediately felt himself blush.

"I…well…I…"

She once again turned to leave.

"Because I love you, Daisy."

She stopped dead in her tracks out of pure shock. She turned to face him.

"You what…?"

"I said…I love you, Daisy."

"I…I love you too."

As she began moving closer to him, she knocked over the bag on the floor and its contents spilled onto the floor. She stared in shock at the blue coat and black shirt that fell out.

"You…you're Static?"

"Well, Yeah."

She looked at Virgil. Without warning, she threw her arms around his neck and hugged him.

"I always knew you were special."

"Thanks. Daisy?"

She looked up at his face.

"Yeah?"

He placed a firm chaste kiss on her lips, which she gladly returned. They pulled away and stood just holding each other.
