The Believer and the Skeptic
She was the believer. She thought everything was credible. That every strange thing that happened during the investigation led to the theory that they all wanted to believe was true. Ghosts were real. She didn't want to deny it. She didn't want to believe that all the stories she had heard as a child were all lies. That they were all merely haunted tales invented to scare people. She knew they were real. She just knew it. But sometimes her confidence got in the way of her common sense. She would jump to conclusions, and speak without thinking. And that's when she would be denied. Her hope was shattered until another piece of evidence would pick up the parts and put them together again. She wasn't going to stop believing.
He was the skeptic one. He always thought there was a logical explanation for everything. It was not that he didn't believe, because he did. He just wasn't easily convinced. It was important to have someone in the group who could find an explanation for everything. Because the truth was, not all of their evidence was paranormal. He wanted to believe it was. He truly did. But sometimes it just wasn't and he couldn't pretend. They couldn't use false information. Sure, they were still kids, but they had to be professional. Their goal was to find the truth. And jumping to conclusions can't always lead to the truth. He had to be the skeptic one, even if he didn't like it sometimes.
They both seemed to be opposites. They're opposing opinions caused them to argue. Was the evidence credible? It was a rare occasion when they agreed. But outside the investigation, they were all still friends. And they had been friends for so long, it had turned into more then that. They were all a family. But for the believer and the skeptic, things were different. It wasn't just a brother and sister love they felt. There was something more there, and they both weren't sure what to do about it. They had been friends for so long. If something went wrong… then they would lose an amazing friendship. And it's not like they could simply avoid each other. They were apart of a team. They couldn't let their family down. But then there was the chance that it made everything right… But they couldn't It was too risky. So they would remain just friends. Just the skeptic and the believer.
