He was looking at her with such adoration and dare I say love and she didn't even notice! Ugh!
"Edward, stop staring before you start to drool."I said with amusement wrapped around every word.
"Huh? What?" he said confused after I snapped him out of his gaze.
"I said that if you keep staring at her like that you're going to drool all over my food!" I yelled.
"Oh, sorry?" he said moving his gaze back to our table. "I just can't get over how great she is."
Edward had been my best friend for our entire lives. Our moms got pregnant together so we were forced to be friends, though we never complained because we had so much in common. The thing is I wish we were more than just friends. This new girl he's obsessed with doesn't even notice him. How can she NOT?! He's the most beautiful creature I've ever seen! She doesn't see the way his green eyes light up when she walks by and she does see the way he looks at her. If only he would look at me like that… but that will never happen because we're just friends and that's all we'll ever be. If that makes him happy then so be it. I'd rather him be happy then put myself before him. So this how I got into this situation of helping him get, the girl of his dreams, Tanya.

I suddenly glanced up breaking out from my thoughts to see my other best friend Alice and her boyfriend Jasper. Alice knew about my feelings for Edward and wanted me not to get involved with this charade of helping Edward win over Tanya. She wanted me to tell him how I felt but I couldn't do that to our friendship. If it broke my heart to see Edward with another girl, then so be it.
"Yeah I'm fine just telling Eddie here to stop staring at Tanya before she thinks he's some kind of weirdo with a drooling problem." I said with a fake smile. Alice saw right through that, but Edward, my best friend, didn't even notice because he's back to staring at . I turned back to look at Alice to see that she had gone to get food.
"Edward did you hear what I just said?" I said.
"Yes, I'm going to look away in a second and don't call me Eddie!"He said now looking into my eyes.
"So what's the plan to get her?" I asked. He just smiled and started to explain how I was going to help him get her. I wished he would smile at me like that while not think about her. Stop!Stop!Stop! You will never get him so just leave it alone!
