Author's Notes: La la la, second or third I▓m putting up. Also un-beta▓d, so watch out! The only bad things here are angstiness and a bit of fluff. Tad bit o▓ coarse lango as well.
Time isn▓t precious- it▓s ferocious, cruel, and was something Albel Nox learned at a very young age. When you were living in a world of happiness, time is everything. You want more of it, so much more, but you can never have it. And in the end, time runs through your fingers and trickles away uselessly. You can never have enough time when you▓re happy.
But in his current life, his current situation, time was slow and muggy. He was walking through a constant fog, and no person nor hobby could make it go any faster.
The only thing he could do to make time pass by just the littlest bit faster was to stare blankly ahead and think. He▓d sit in his room at the Kirlsa Training Facility, listening to the sound of grunts trailing into his room through the small crack in the door. It was annoying, the way the candlestrokes passed so slowly. If he looked at the sundial, he▓d just get annoyed, so what was the use? He might as well just imagine that one candlestroke was two, try and trick himself into actually believing that his life was falling away by the minutes before his very eyes.
Out of nowhere, a body flung itself onto his own small frame with a small ▒oomph!▓. Blue hair trailed into his hair and mouth, and he spluttered, trying to push the body off of him.
⌠Leingod! What in fuck▓s name are you doing here?!■
A giggle.
Albel sat up quickly, his mullings about time shattered to bits now that the maggot had returned, seemingly out of nowhere.
Bright eyes like crushed emeralds stared back at him, full of snarky smile and warmth. His heart was beating faster already, Albel could feel it, feel it through the layers of cloth that separated him from the love of his life. It had been almost half a year since he▓d seen Fayt- the time had gone so very, very slow.
⌠Weeeeell~. I figured that maybe you▓d be getting bored down here on this dinky underdeveloped planet, so I dropped by for a visit.■ The younger man grinned, not quite finished but having to thro in a secret smile like he was sharing some dark bit of information with Albel.
⌠I finally got my own ship, too! So now you can come with me.■
Albel spluttered in disbelief. ⌠What?! What makes you think I▓ll actually leave?!■
It▓s amazing, how easily one can cave under the puppy-dog gaze of a green eyed beauty. Before he knew it, Albel was sitting on the floor of a shiny new ▒hoverscoot▓, as Fayt called it ever so cheerfully, wit a sack of his belongings beside him.. Really, it didn▓t look half bad, but Albel could do without the rust rubbing against his claw, thanks ever so much.
And when Fayt began to talk nonchalantly about everyday life while managing to make it slightly interesting, Albel began his musings on time again.
Time isn▓t precious- it▓s ferocious, cruel, and unforgiving. When you live in a world of happiness, time is everything. You want more of it, so much more, but you can never have it.
And there would never be enough of it for the two of them- of this, Albel was sure.
