Our Bright Spot in all of This

A/N: Please review! This is one of my first fanfictions so please do not hate. I will update soon!

Chapter 1

As I saw Thayer filling up his car with all of his belongings I slowed my car and came to a stop. As I got out of the car Thayer turned to face me.

"Thayer," I began, but he stopped me.

"Emma I can't stay, The phone backfired. Alec is going to be released, he won again." As Thayer said this tears began to form in his eyes. "There is nothing for me here anymore. There is no reason for me to stay."

As Thayer said that my heart broke did he forget about me... I began to banter. "I'm sorry about not telling you about me and Ethan. It's just... " He stopped me

"No Emma this has nothing to do with that. It's just that I ... I ..." He began to stutter. " I want you to come with me."

My heart skipped a beat. Thayer why should I leave I am finally getting a family. I thought about it. Mads, Laurel, Ted, and Kristen. How could I leave them. Sutton does not seem to care about me so why should I care about how she would feels. " Give me one good reason why I should go with you." I said.

Right at that moment I knew why he would want me to go.

"Because I love you." Was his response. " I love you more than I have ever truly loved someone before. Remember, you've been the one bright spot in this jumble of a mess."

"Thayer, I love you to." I said. Thayer then hugged me and kissed me, but not like he had in the past. This kiss was different because it represented the future moments like this that we will have together.

Thayer then swooped me up into his arms and sat me down in his car. From there we drove to my house to pack me a bag and to get everything that I would need.

I did not feel like explaining this all to Sutton so I simply left her a message,

"Hey, I am leaving town for a bit talk to you in a couple of days"

XOXO Emma

I felt as though it would probably be best to not elaborate to much, because everyone knows that the less Sutton knows the better.

Thayer walked into the room with a big smile on his gorgeous face. "Hello beautiful ready to go?" he questioned.

"Ya lets get to LosAngeles, I can't wait to see your actual house."

"Trust me it is not much," he replied.

"In the foster care system a rough over your head means the world to you. Trust me I doubt I will be disappointed. Lets get out of here."

We drove for what seemed like an eternity before arriving in L.A. Thayer pulled the car up to an apartment complex. Which just so happened to look twice the size of my last foster home.

Thayer opened my door for me and led me to the front door. He swooped me up on my feet and carried me over the door step then set me down. The house was beautiful not to overwhelmingly big but just right. The house was very fun and modern, it perfectly reflected Thayer's personality. Thayer grabbed my bags and led me to his bedroom to set my things down. He looked at me with a cheesy expression on his face, "Welcome home" he said. At that moment I began to cry, because this was my first home.

Thayer realized why I was crying it was tears of joy. I had survived the years of uncertainty, and throughout it managed to find Thayer. This new life I am starting with Thayer is one hundred percent me, Emma Becker.
