Hey All! So, I'm rewriting this. It isn't to my liking anymore, and I have no idea where I was going with it.

I'll try and get a lot more out today. I have till 9 in the coffee shop I'm in. Let's see how it goes. :D

I don't Own!

Enjoy!

Mina's research took her deep into a forest. The trees covered more then she would have liked, making it hard for her to see far in front of her. That wasn't good.

She was just writing in her journal, when she came upon the very animal she was writing about.

A pure white wolf with ten tails moving lazily as it lay in the sun. Her breath caught. The wolf looked up at her briefly before setting it's head on it's paws.

"There it is! Get it!" Someone yelled behind her, making her jump. The wolf was on it's feet quickly, growling at her, no, behind her. The wolf motioned with it's head, then turned and took off. Mina, not wanting to lose four years of her life's worth of searching, took off after it.

She almost paused when a great portal opened before her, but one glance behind her at the pursuers, and another glance at the waiting wolf had her move forward into the portal, the wolf right behind her. The portal closed behind her, taking her from her world.

Namikaze Mina is a seventeen year old orphan who lived in the town of konoha, the village hidden in the leaves. She was the best friend of fellow orphan, Uzumaki Kushina, a red head with a temper. Even now, at seventeen, the two girls were well known ninja. And Mina would swear that Kushina would get her name in the bingo books before her eighteenth birthday.

Mina had been researching other tailed beast after finding out her best friend carried one. She heard rumors of a wolf with an unusual amount of tails, and decided to search for it.

Suratobi was sitting at his desk, doing the only thing that gave him second thoughts about excepting the Hokage title, Paper Work.

All of a sudden a portal opened in front of him and a girl who looked remarkably like the fourth Hokage walked out of it. She looked so confused, her eyes wide in wonder, looking at everything like it was going to grab her.

"Where am I?" She asked no one in particular. "Looks like the Hokage's office, but not." Then her eyes landed on Suratobi. Something flashed in the girl's eyes, a mix of curiosity, fear, and wonder. Then she was overwhelmed, passing right out. The only thing keeping her from hitting the floor was an ANBU who intervened.

Mina groaned as she woke, she felt groggy, her eyelids heavy.

"Child, wake up." A voice growled out, almost in a bark. Mina gasped as she sat up, looking over at the giant ten tailed wolf. The thing was thirty feet tall, safely stored behind a large cage, the top of which was so high it wasn't visible to her.

"What?" She asked as she stood, her eyes never leaving the wolf in the cage. "How did you get in there?" She looked up in awe. The wolf laid down so it could face her better.

"I do not know. But based on this," The wolf motioned to the doors of the cage where a single piece of paper kept the whole thing closed. It looked familiar to her. Moving closer, she noticed that it was her seal, the one she had been designing for Kushina. The wolf huffed out.

"So it is familiar to you child?" The beast asked, looking at her with angry eyes. She had to back up when the thing's paw swiped out at her.

"I'm sorry! I didn't know this would happen!" She yelled as she continued to back away from the swiping arm.

"You were trying to seal me away, why else would you have such a seal on your person?" The beast growled out in anger. Mina huffed, crossing her arms.

"I wasn't trying to seal you. My friend Kushina has a seal on her, I was trying to improve it." She spat. She took a deep breath. The wolf continued to glare.

She visibly calmed down, taking another deep breath, she let it out as a sigh.

"Look, it was a misunderstanding. I was simply trying to help a friend with her problem. I didn't mean for you to be sealed away in any way or form, it just kind of happened that way. Whether we like it or not, we are stuck like this. Releasing the seal would kill me, and I don't want to die." She told it, looking up with calm eyes, not malice or hatred, no resentment, just a slight resignation hidden behind those calm blue orbs.

The wolf growled low, before nodding once, standing, and turning around and ignoring her.

"Well we can't figure anything out if you ignore me." She said, but the beast didn't move. She sighed.

"Okay. I guess I'll be going now." She said, but the beast didn't move. She sighed again before a pulling feeling made her close her eyes.

The first thing Mina heard was a quiet "-is a trick?" She could guess what the first part of that sentence was, it didn't take a genius. And why would her being here be a trick, other then the way she got there in the first place, but by the way it was said, with worry, hatred, and awe, it seemed like they were talking about her in specific.

She let her eyes open slowly, taking in the room before allowing them to notice her current conscious state. It was the Hokage's office, but how did she get there? She was just on the other side of the continent. Did that portal cause teleportation? Through her eyelashes she saw the familiar robes of the third Hokage, and the black and white figures of the ANBU on call.

"Let's just get her to T and I." The Hokage told them. Mina gasped, sitting up, there was no way she was going there, she's heard of horror stories about people going there. The ANBU attacked her. She didn't mean to startle them, but it happened, and now she was in a fight with several of them.

The ANBU threw some shuriken at her, as quickly as she could she grabbed some of her own and threw them to deflect the oncoming shuriken, the ANBU threw another shuriken and she had to jump to avoid it. Another ANBU then threw a kuni at her while she was in the air, but she did a hand sign and a shadow clone appeared and grabbed her, then it tossed her to the side as it took the kuni for her.

She landed only to jump again when another kuni was thrown at her. She was about to throw another kuni, when a presence behind her startled her. It was the Hokage. He grabbed her arms, keeping them behind her back.

Everyone stopped.

"Now, please, take this young lady to the T and I department." He told the ANBU, handing her over.

"No stop! What's going on? I can't go to the T and I department. Why are you doing this? It's me, Mina!" She yelped as she was shunshined out of the room, leaving a very confused Third Hokage.

The Hokage waited for the report on the young woman who was found in his office. She was peculiar, and she seemed to know him, though her eyes had shown confusion when she saw him the first time.

She tried to have him help her by telling him her first name, Mina. There was no way this woman was one of his ninja, he had never seen her before, and she was a very noticeable woman, her blonde hair was bright, like only two others he has met. There was a possibility that she was related to them, but he was sure that Minato was an orphan, no siblings or any family left.

"Lord Hokage." An ANBU bowed low as he appeared in front of him. "Ibiki-san would like your presence at T and I." The masked ninja told him, his head kept low.

"Thank you Neko. I'll be right there." The ninja nodded and went up in smoke, a shadow clone. Suratobi sighed before standing, and shunshining away.

Mina sat at a table, Ibiki sitting before her. Both glared at each other. The Hokage moved forward out of the shadows.

"What is the problem Ibiki-san?" The Hokage asked, looking down at the two. Mina raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything. Ibiki grit his teeth.

"She refused to say anything. And we can't move her from her seat or get anywhere near her to try anything other then demanding answers." Ibiki bit out. The Hokage raised an eyebrow. He tried to get closer, but he felt an invisible barrier keeping him from getting closer.

"We've tried everything, from weapons to exploding tags to jutsu." Ibiki didn't sound happy at all.

"Well, it seems you'll just have to talk to her." The Hokage told him calmly, his eyes scanning the barrier and what might have created it. He looked at the girl's hands, and saw a small seal made of blood.

"You made a seal on the spot, without a reference?" The Hokage was surprised, looking at the girl with slightly wider eyes. The girl nodded stiffly.

"Creating seals is my specialty." She stated. It wasn't a good thing for a ninja to admit to that, it was a huge show of trust for her to admit.

"What is your name miss?" The Hokage asked, taking a seat next to Ibiki, who huffed in annoyance.

"Namikaze Minako. But my friends call me Mina." She told him, eyeing them both with a glint of amusement in her eyes.

"That's impossible. The last of the Namikaze was wiped out fourteen years ago." Ibiki growled out. "Now tell us who you really are." He demanded.

Mina's eyes widened. "But, I was the last Namikaze, and I just left the village two months ago." Her voice was even, not betraying the hurt that she felt, even though the words said as much.

"I don't know who you are miss, Never before have I seen you. I'm sorry to say, but you need to tell us everything." The Hokage sighed, this was going to be a long day.

Mina told her story, clipping it of any humanity. Only stats, things you could find anywhere. The only thing that wasn't statistical was how she got there.

"The portal opened, and it was either risk getting killed by a mob of hunters, or follow the wolf through. So I did the latter." She told them, sitting with her back straight and her hands folded before her on the desk.

"I'd give you my blood, see if you can prove that I am who I say I am, but if what you said is true, then there is no one who you could test against." Mina said sadly, looking at her hands. The Hokage cleared his throat.

"There is someone, I won't be telling you who they are, to keep them safe, but I can test your blood with theirs." He told her, watching her closely. She looked up at him with wide eyes.

"Okay." She told him, taking off her forehead protector and pulling a hidden three pronged kuni out of a hidden pouch on her hip. She quickly made a gash on her palm, spilling blood on her forehead protector. She then slid the metal and cloth over to them, clenching her wounded hand closed. She was surprised when she felt the wound knitting itself shut. It must have been the wolf.

"We'll get this back to you once we get it tested." The Hokage assured her, she nodded. Ibiki rolled his eyes and growled before stalking out of the room. He hadn't believed any of it and he didn't trust this girl.

It had been a day since she had fallen through the portal. She could feel the fatigue, she refused to sleep, she didn't trust these people, they weren't her ninja, these people might look like her friends, but they didn't know her, and they treated her like an enemy. She didn't want to know what would happen if she stopped powering the seal.

She didn't have to wait much longer as the door opened, admitting the Hokage and Ibiki. Ibiki looked whiter then usual, though his face was just as angry.

"Your blood was a match." Ibiki ground out. The Hokage watched her. "You'll be let out and given a three month probation. You are not to leave the village under any circumstance, you will have an ANBU or Jonin following you at all times. You will be given an apartment and the first months rent. After that it is up to you to get a job. I suggest finding one soon." He told her. She nodded.

"I'm guessing Ninja is out of the question for now?" She asked, looking up at him.

"In three months, if you don't break any laws or try to leave, then you may take a test to become a ninja." He told her with a smile. Mina nodded again.

"Okay. So, I can leave?" She asked, looking up at them.

"Yes. Though I ask that you come to my office once you have settled in. There is much we need to speak about." The Hokage told her. She sighed, but nodded. She would listen, and maybe she would get some answers.

I like this one better. The last one seemed like I put Kushina into Minato, and it just didn't feel right.

I hope you like it!
