I'm Kurt Hummel. In the past year a lot of things have happened. For starters, I used to have a boyfriend, it's a mutual separation, though. We're still friends and we have coffee every Sunday morning. His name is Blaine Anderson. Blaine was the one who first suggested it. We used this time to catch up, and as time went by, these conversations got more intense. One thing led to another, and one Sunday we ended up going back to Blaine's apartment. I suppose we were desperate, because it led to sex. Sure, we don't "do it" every Sunday, but we do look forward to it.

I think I'm getting ahead of myself. Before my last year of high school started, I got Sunshine Corazon pregnant. I got pretty stressed out, which prompted me to bake… A lot. It turns out, when you tell people that you've been baking a lot, they assume you're gaining weight. After being told by Santana Lopez that I was getting fat, I became extremely conscious about my weight. Then after a few remarks, and one Jesse St. James telling me I was fat, and that, even though I had lost a pound I could easily gain it back, I quit eating. It went unnoticed for about two weeks. Carole was the one who finally noticed that I was just pushing food around on my plate and not earing. She had me checked into a rehabilitation center. I was seven pounds underweight when I was checked in. I was there for about a month, but when I was release, I had gained ten pounds. I was back at ideal weight, but I still don't look at food the same way.

Enough about that, it's too sad for me to think about right now. Anyway, back to Sunshine and the baby. It all started at a party after Blaine and I had a fight. We got drunk and locked ourselves in a bedroom, where we had sex. We found out about a week later, and I told my parents a week after that. They offered to take it in. Sunshine was happy with that idea and so was I. On April 14th, she gave birth to Everette Jonathan Hummel. My parents raised him while Sunshine and I finished high school. About halfway through summer, she found a place in New York, she moved out there, taking our son with her.

I wouldn't be surprised if some people think I followed her out here to be closer to Ev. It was more of a mutual decision on both of our parts. I was moving out here anyway so I could attend the Fashion Institute of Technology. I'm in the fashion design undergraduate program. I love it here, but I still prefer the members of New Directions, many of which I've managed to stay in contact with. I've chosen to live off campus, because as much as I'd love to have the college experience everyone talks about, I want to focus on my studies.

That brings me to where I am now. I'm currently sitting in an apartment fifteen minutes off campus. The lady who lives in the apartment on my right is twenty-one years old, with a two year old daughter, whom I babysit for a few times a week. Sometimes less, if I have Everette. I somehow managed to get a job at Dulche and Gabbana, working part-time as a sales associate. I think I owe this to the lady who lives next door. Her name is Amanda, and she works there as well. I think that it would be safe to say that, lately, I've been pretty lucky.
