Newly made Jounin, Naruto Uzumaki, leaned against the cracked cement wall as he kept pressure on the wound he had received.
The fight with Tobi had gone terribly wrong. Kakashi used his Mangekyo Sharingan to send his rasengan into the same dimension as Tobi.
Unfortunately, Tobi had different plans, using his technique in rapid succession and moving from dimsension to dimension in seconds. After doing so, he appeared behind Kakashi, stabbing him with a kunai severing his spine. The attack killed him instantly, leaving Naruto and Gai to stare at the body. The eyes, oh god the eyes, just dead.
There is nothing worse than seeing the seeing the eyes of an unsuspecting dead human. The way there eyes widen then die, leaving you to see the glossed over orbs. Everything was silent except for the sound of a body hitting the floor. Tobi wiped off his kunai and laughed, a laugh evil enough to send Shinigami himself to the floor.
Naruto held his head as he tried to shake the sight out. Kakashi isn't dead! He kept repeating, causing Tobi to laugh more.
'You're weak.' said a voice. Naruto looked around frantically.
'Dobe.' the voice came again.
'Demon!' yelled another.
'Do you want to know why everyone hates you demon?' asked a voice laced with hate.
Naruto got to his feet, "I won't let you kill another of my precious people!" he had yelled.
"Show me? Show me how you stay true to your word, while Gai dies." Spat Tobi. Naruto's eyes widened at the last part before Gai, frozen from shock was dropped to the floor. His chest was ripped open, blood pouring out, and while he died from blood loss he grabbed Naruto's jacket and pulled him close.
"Your fault." Gai said as his hand fell from the bloody cloth.
Naruto's eyes widened even more as he let out a scream that pierced Kami's ears. A red bubbling chakra started to cover Naruto's body but stopped when pain layered his system. A kunai ripped through his stomach, which he grabbed before the guts spilled out. Then Tobi grabbed him by the collar and threw him, hard. He crashed into a building, falling through the roof and into the basement.
He coughed and spluttered as he crawled to the wall. He pushed himself up with one hand and threw up blood. Granny Tsunade, Shizune, Sakura, Sasuke, Kakashi, Gai, Lee, Tenten, Neji, Hinata, all his friends.
How would they feel?
Would they hate him?
Would they spit on his grave, dug by a rusty shovel in the woods.
Would they cry for him? Then the last thought hit him. He had let down everyone, his parents, friends, and he did the one thing a ninja can never do. He had let down the Hokage, who would let a child, who hadn't reached Chunin yet and let down everybody, become such a respected character? No one.
He was alone again and he didn't care. He pushed himself up the wall and let tears run down his face.
Hehehehehe, "Naruto-kun, ohhhh Naruto-kun. I love this game!" Yelled Tobi.
"Tobi will find you because Tobi's a good boy!" Came the childish voice.
"There you are child!" Yelled Tobi again in a deep voice that made Naruto cringe. Naruto looked up and smiled to the sky letting the rain hit his face before unbuckling his pack and taking out a kunai.
"My turn to seek Tobi." Came the deep voice, after the sentence finished, Naruto's fingernails lengthened, his whiskers became more profound, and his one eye turned red.
Tobi's eyes widened underneath his mask. Then, Naruto chuckled. Not a funny chuckle, not a comedy chuckle. A chuckle that made even Tobi fall to his knees in fear.
"Cause you see, I love to be in control, so why don't we change the rules. You stay still, and I try to NOT kill you!" Yelled Kyuubi as Naruto finally relinquished control. The last sentence rang in Kyuubi's ears, "Kick his ass Kurama." He said. And then, he lunged.
