A/N: Whilst I generally try to avoid the Second Wizarding War era for fear I won't write the characters correctly, I just had to do this. I don't know what got me so inspired, but I remember feeling like 'RUBY YOU HAVE TO WRITE THIS!', so I did.
Disclaimer: You know the song and dance.
You're ideal for one another.
You both want the same things. To love and be loved back.
You've never got the emotion you truly desire. It might have been there with Cedric, if you only have a little while longer – but never with Harry. He had plans greater than you, greater than everyone – and you want someone who will throw everything out of the window just for you.
And it's okay to want that. Lots of girls do. It doesn't mean you're selfish, or stupid, or pathetic – it just means you're a romantic. And that's not a bad thing.
He's been with Ginny, and he always knew in the back of his mind that it would never last, despite how much he wanted it to. There have been some other girls too, you're not too certain of the details, only that they put the war and survival above such petty things as love and romance.
So when the war is over, and everyone's picking up the pieces, looking to their other half for comfort, you find his arms.
It's not perfect, and there isn't that spark you've so longed to find in another, the spark that meant you've found the one your supposed to be with, your soul mate.
But you'll compensate, for you won't get anyone better.
Because you're ideal for one another.
A/N: I really do need to start writing longer pieces, don't I?
