The place looked as menacing as the fear it brought with its name.
Baskerville. A military base? Science lab? Prison? The secrets were shrouded to everyone outside the gates like the fog that rolled off the nearby moors. A jeep rumbled across the gravely road as it approached the gates and armed guards.
"Honestly, Sherlock…Baskerville is a highly-protected government facility," John sighed. "Even if we make it past the gates and get inside, they'll catch on eventually and arrest us."
The driver replied casually, "Oh, yes. I'd expect we'd be discovered in due time. But hopefully we'll find what we're looking for and be out of here before then."
As the jeep stopped at the guard gate, Sherlock flashed a card to the official. Sherlock has pickpocketed it from his brother, Mycroft, months ago…just because he was bored. Mycroft Holmes worked in the Ministry of Defense. Although in Sherlock's strong opinion, he was the government. It was surprisingly too easy…so far. The official let them through without hesitation. John was more aware of his watch ticking.
