Born from Blood, A Corpse

Through the corridor she walks

Towards the room ahead of her

Strewn with cadavers littering the floor

She enters, hesitant, frightened

She shivers at the sight of death

Feeling death with each step

Blood and gore decorate the chamber

Something moves among the dead behind her

And she whirls to confront the perpetrator

A corpse ripples as it contracts violently

Blood and organs spatter as it erupts

Pooling around the body as she screams

Four arms shoot out from the cadaver

Clawed fingers with long nails claw the dead

Black hair flowing down over the face

The creature's flesh is burned beyond recognition

It approaches as she backs away from it

She trips over a corpse and slips in blood and organs

Falling back, she can't stop the thing from approaching

It climbs atop her, two clawed hands pinning her down

The other two rise high into the air before coming down

One after the other, it smashes her head into the ground

Until her head is flattened, a pile of blood and gore

Like the corpses around her

This is a short poem about Laura encountering a victim. I did not specify who as she is supposed to be a random person caught within STEM. Laura is an interesting boss as she is tied to the game's lore and plays an important role in the story. Considering the possibility that the Evil Within is probably going to get a sequel, I think she might once again reprise it by making a return because she is Ruvik's sister. It makes sense since she is that important, for not including her would leave out a crucial part of Ruvik's drive to bring her back to life. At least that's my theory, though I also believe Ruvik might get his revenge against MOBIUS for betraying him as well now that he himself was freed from STEM after fighting Sebastian.

Happy Halloween!
