Tooth fairy
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Excuse me, are you the tooth fairy?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey 'Hide, whacha doing?" The First Lieutenant's cheerful voice broke the weapon specialist out of his daze.
"Huh? Nothin' really…" Ironhide grunted, gently closing his hand, protecting the small dark-red pouch in it. He then shifted a little to give the smaller Autobot room to sit on the cliff.
Jazz grinned silently as he sat down beside the black mech, letting his feet dangle over the cliff edge.
"Seriously, wha' were ya doing?" Jazz repeated.
"Nothin'." Ironhide repeated annoyed.
Jazz felt silent, staring at the still darkening sky while Ironhide seemingly looked at the red-ish ground far, far below them.
"Ya know, Ratch' 's growin' nervous," Jazz mumbled to the black Autobot "an' Optimus 's gettin' ready ta fight. The war 's comin' ta this planet too…"
"An' I can't wait to bust some Decepticon butt!" Ironhide interrupted flashing a rare large grin to the silver mech who laughed shortly.
"Jus' wish it would end soon." Jazz suddenly sounded sad yet he was smiling softly, still holding his visored gaze on the sky. Ironhide wondered why Jazz wanted the war to end so desperately. What were they supposed to do after that? It was not like they had Cybertron to return to, it had been beyond any help a long time ago. Of course, they could stay on Earth but although it was nice, Ironhide had a tiny problem with the non-existing action on this planet.
"Hey, what's that?"
Ironhide stopped his thoughts in surprise when the smaller Autobot was peeking at the, now open, black hand that revealed the tiny red pouch.
"'My Tooth'?" Jazz read slightly confused just as Ironhide closed his hand to conceal the pouch again.
"I said it's nothin'!" the Topkick growled
"It's ya lucky charm, huh?"
Ironhide stared at the silver mech in short puzzle.
"Ya know, small thingy tha' keep ya luck up an' yarself from dying." Jazz grinned "Where didcha get it? Don't remembe' ya having one on Cybertron."
"Nowhere… You've one yourself, right?" Ironhide asked silently trying to direct the attention away from the small gift.
"Had." Jazz corrected "Lost it in the landin'. Prowl gave it to me."
Ironhide flinched slightly by the words, as Jazz' visor dimmed faintly and as the silver mech looked at the ground below.
Touchy subject. "Sorry…" Ironhide mumbled. Prowl was gone, just like Cybertron.
Jazz then – surprisingly – grinned and seemed to let go of the gloomy mood. "Nah, tha's okay, man. 'Sides, we really shoul' get back ta Optimus."
Jazz stood up and took a deep cooling intake. "We got a signal from 'Bee; he's got the Allspark an' the Decepticreeps are nearin'."
Ironhide watched as Jazz felt silent with his gaze on the sky. He wondered why the silver mech liked the sky so much. Optimus had said something about the ever changing clouds and they all knew Jazz liked to look at things that changed. But often, when Jazz looked at the sky, Ironhide could see the normal smile fade. Just like now.
"You okay?" The black mech asked as he too stood up.
"Yeah, yeah, jus' glad the little bugger's still alive 'n' kickin'." Jazz grinned again.
"You know he's actually higher then you now." Ironhide said with a teasing smirk.
Jazz snorted "Jus' 'cause he picked a larger alt. mode…"
The Topkick laughed and transformed, heading out, soon tailed by the silver one.

Yes, Prowl is dead in my Movie Universe. Don't know if he's in ROTF, and don't wanna know. Don't spoil.
Hope you enjoy!
