It was on a cool winter night that Blair Waldorf held a masquerade ball. Blair Waldorf loved fairytales and fairytales were not forthcoming at the moment especially from with a certain upper eastsider whose name rhymes with ass, she needed a form of escapism to take her mind of things.

She hadn't told anyone what she was wearing not even Serena; the theme of the party was masquerade. For one night only you could masquerade as whomever you would like to be, no one had to know your name, school or clique; who you were for the night must be secret even from your BFFs, that way fulfilling your secret fantasy remained a secret. Conversations were to be made via gestures or writing on cards that way you could conceal your voice.

She invited everyone from her school, St Jude and other similar schools along the upper east side after all a Queen must have her King and there were so many slim pickings in her circle plus it was becoming far too incestuous for her liking. Blair Waldorf loved her fairytales and she was going to make sure that this one had a happy ending without the repercussions of real life, Thailand or Brooklyn.

She knew people and most importantly Gossip Girl would be sneaky and would try to unravel what she was wearing, but she was smarter than that. She hired a few decoys for the night that would be leaving from numerous locations. Unbeknownst to everyone she had rented an apartment in Greenwich Village under a pseudonym, got ready and left there fashionably late.

When Blair arrives at the ball the lights are low and you could barely make out who the people were, a solitary hand grazes her shoulders and she turns around, he beckons her to dance without saying a word and she finds herself gliding towards him and the dance floor. They dance for ages, twirling and holding tightly to each other amidst bursts of laughter and song until their feet ache and they were gagging with thirst. He takes her hand and leads her to a solitary spot and then he kisses her gently at first till it reaches a crescendo of so many things that she finds very pleasing. They break apart reluctantly and he smiles at her, and then bids her goodbye with a wave and light kisses on her right hand. She runs after him but like Cinderella without the glass slipper he disappeared into the night never to be seen again.

Yes Blair Waldorf believes in fairytales, as her hand lightly grazes her lip, she thinks for once her fairytale may have come true.
