CHAPTER 1

"Tony!" Long haired brunette shouted his name through the crowd at the airport. He turned around and saw his dear friend after long year. Brunette approached him and hugged him tightly.

"Hey! Kens haven't seen you for so long, how have you been?"

"Good, good, what about you?" Answered Kensi with a big smile on her face, she was finally able to come and see her beloved friends.

"Better when I see you." Tony DiNozzo put his charm up trying to avoid further questions while he was putting her suitcase in his car so they would be able to go to Navy Yard.

"You know what I mean, how are you really?" She gave him her deadly glare.

"Fine, I guess. I still miss her and I would always and you know that." He knew that there was no need to lie because she knows him to well, she is like a little sister to him.

She simply nodded with her head, she didn't wanted to question him more knowing that Ziva was still hard topic to him. Tony started the car and for a couple of minutes he was silent. Kensi decided to give him space, she knows how much he loves her, Ziva loves him as well but she is just not ready yet. All she could do is hope that they would find a way to reunite and live happy in their love.

"Did you heard from her? How is she? I heard from Deeks that you had a week of before you came here so I thought maybe you paid her a visit."

"No I was on a vacation with my friend and to answer your question yes we talked about a week ago, just before I went to a trip. She is fine Tony." She gave him sincere look and looked back at the road. Still he could only believe that she is fine when he would see it by himself.

"Really with a friend, when could I met him and where were you somewhere exotic?" Tony decided to put aside Ziva topic just for a second to focus on his driving as he got curious about her mysterious friend.

"It's a SHE and since when are you my mother?" Kensi pretended she was annoyed by his questions.

"Oh a she I always knew you liked women! Can't wait to tell Deeks, he would be really disappointed that you didn't invite him along."

"Hey! I told you my secret you cannot tell him anything!" Kensi winked at him giving him a sign that she was just kidding.

"O no no no! He must know!"

"You tell him and you are dead!"

"Well it's worth dying for." She gave him a head slap and Tony couldn't stop laughing as well as her.

"Now really where were you?" He asked again.

"If you must know, Spain."

"Nice. Como fue?" (How was it?)

"Muy bien, gracias." (Very good, thank you.) She answered with a smile and then continued. "Now tell me, how is everybody? What did I miss?"

"Well…." Tony started narrating her a story from the crime scene from couple of days ago. By the time he finished they came to the Navy Yard.

"Wow!" Kensi couldn't stop laughing. "You know what I really missed you guys!" She confessed while getting out of the car.

"Aww! Is my little sister getting softy?"

"Tony stop! I know you missed me too."

"It's sad that is true." She punched him in the shoulder.

"Hey! That hurts you know?" He was rubbing his shoulder to stop the pain. She just smiled at him.

They got to the elevator and went to the bullpen first because she might not survive Abby's hug.

When Agent Gibbs heard the ding he looked up and saw a visitor he was waiting for.

"Hey everybody look who I brought!" Tony told his team.

"Kens its good to see you." Gibbs said while giving her a hug.

"Hi! I am so happy to finally be here."

The next one for a hug was McGee followed by Ellie. The two girls met by one chance a year and a couple of months ago and became friends. Ellie wanted to know more about Ziva and she couldn't ask the team because she knew it was hard for them to talk about her so there was no better person to ask. After they chatted for a while, Kensi decided to go say hello to Abby as well as Ducky and Palmer and Gibbs accompanied her. In the elevator Gibbs started the conversation.

"You staying at my place."

"Thank you Gibbs but I could have stayed at the hotel." She shrugged with her shoulders with a thankful smile on her face, knowing that she is always welcome.

"Not a problem kiddo."

Loud music welcomed them when they arrived at Labby. The moment Abby realised who was shouting her to turn of the music she sprinted to the person and gave her a bone crushing hug.

"OMG I cant believe you are here. I am so mat at you, you promised you would come sooner!"

"I know I am sorry I couldn't come sooner." Kensi answered with a sad smile and pulled Caf-Pow from behind her back and everything was back in normal. After a long talk with Abby she visited autopsy, she was glad that Ducky and Palmer were as well really happy to see her as she was to see them. Kensi loved both of them a lot especially Ducky because she loved to hear his stories.

After a long flight from Spain and caching up with her family, she was pleased when Gibbs and her came back at his place. They had a dinner and after she went to sleep. No one would guess what news would they receive tomorrow.
