Me:Hey everyone! Wolfy here! I recently hired Wizard and Julius as my assistants, so they will be doing the disclaimers for me from now on! Wizaardd!

Wizard: Wolfy…does not…own Harvest Moon…

Julius: Nope! Not at all

Me: Without further ado, enjoy the story!

Wizard left his house around midnight. None of the mortals liked to stay up that late. Except for Hikari…she was a strange one…not that he could say otherwise of himself. As he watched the stars come out, he suddenly felt rather lonely.

Like every tree stands on its own, reaching for the sky I stand alone. I share my world with no one else. All by myself I stand alone.

But sometimes…Hikari would watch the stars with him…he liked the company. Rarely did mortals ever willingly associate with him unless they wanted their fortunes told. He actually liked the companionship he shared with her.

His thoughts began to wander as he looked over the darkened land.

I know the sound of each rock and stone. And I embrace what others fear. You are not to roam in this forgotten place, Just the likes of me are welcome here. Everything breathes and I know each breath. For me it means life for others it's death. It's perfectly balanced, perfectly planned, More than enough for this man.

"I wish…Hikari were here...I am…tired of being alone…" He thought.

Like every tree stands on its own Reaching for the sky I stand alone.
I share my world with no one else. All by myself I stand alone.

He walked to the Goddess pond, oblivious to the fact that a pair of curious eyes watched him trudge slowly up the dimly lit path. When a twig snapped, he whirled to face a sheepish girl. "Hikari…" He murmured. "What are…you doing here…this late?..." She shrugged and moved closer to him. He moved away. Not willingly. Oh, did he long to have her by his side for always, but mortals couldn't see things the way any immortal could. It greatly hindered the Harvest Kings' judgment of the humans. He did not want to hurt her.

I've seen your world with these very eyes Don't come any closer, don't even try
I've felt all the pain and heard all the lies But in my world there's no compromise

He felt her pain when he moved away. "I am….so sorry…Hikari…I am…much too different…" He looked away, waiting for her to leave, just like everyone else.

Like every tree stands on its own Reaching for the sky I stand alone.
I share my world with no one else. All by myself I stand alone.

A soft hand touches his shoulder, and he turns in surprise. "I'm different too, Wizard. You're my best friend." His eyes light up as he sees something much deeper than friendship in her eyes. He smiles. "I am…truly honored…to be…that to you…" She smiles and lightly hugs his arm.

"Maybe…I don't have to stand alone anymore…"
