The story starts out with the football team pulling a prank on Rachel. Quinn who is secretly watching her throughout the night finds her and Quinn offers to take her home. On the drive home, right when they start to become friends, they get hit by a drunk driver. The rest of the story is their recovery and building of a relationship.

At this beginning of the story Quinn and Rachel are just glee-mates, not friends. Quinn secretly likes Rachel though.
