By the way, Ash and Misty are both 20 years old.

"Seriously, Ash," Misty laughed, pushing her new husband away from her but not being able to resist planting a kiss on his cheek. "C'mon, pictures," she added, grabbing his hand and running down the hillside to where her sisters, Ash's mom, Prof. Oak and Gary were standing, all in their most formal outfits. May, Dawn, Max and Brock were standing with them, a little lost in the stream of family and enemies.

"Mist," Ash said, reaching out and grabbing Misty's other hand, swirling her around to face him. "Look. I really love you."

"I know you do," she said, slight confusion etched into her perfect face. "We said that when we were married back there... Ash... What's going on?" She said the words lightly but she could sense that there was something Ash needed to say to her.

"Pictures first," Ash said. "Then... on the plane, OK, Misty? I'll tell you on the way to Snowpoint."

The new couple were going to Snowpoint City as their honeymoon; Ash had a gym battle there, so no time frolicking in the snow was to be spent.

"O...K," Misty said, letting go of Ash's hands, and turning to face the assembled people, all smiling up at the couple on the hillside.

She waved, plastering a smile to her lips and turning back to Ash. "Pictures," she said.

The plane was nice, the food was nice, the other passengers were nice, but all Misty could think of was what Ash had to say to her. And now he was asleep.

"Ash..." Misty hissed, digging a sharp elbow into Ash's side. This resulted in a grunt from the sleeping Ash and nothing else.

"We're nearly there," she whispered in his ear, in despair. His eyes fluttered open and he smiled at her, kissing her deeply on the lips. Misty loved the way he kissed; it made her feel dizzy, but now she couldn't concentrate. "Ash," she said, once he let her go. "What were you going to tell me?"

"Misty..." Ash said. "I know you don't want kids... But I do."

"I know you do," Misty said. "You've said that too."

"And I have to confess something. You know last night?"

"Yes!" Misty said, blushing at the thought.

"I didn't... I didn't... Misty! You're probably pregnant."

Misty gaped at him. Ash smiled, but this quickly faded as Misty buried her head in her hands and burst into tears.

"Why?" she sobbed.

"I want kids, Misty!" Ash said. He didn't bother to lower his voice, although the people in the opposite seats looked strangely at him. "And you're my only way to have them!"

"For God's sake!" Misty cried, and then sank back into her chair as someone at the back of the plane said, "Shh!".

"How could you? How could you!" Misty sobbed, rocking back and forwards on her chair. Ash, who hadn't anticipated this reaction, rubbed his eyes and attempted to reason with his weeping wife.

"I know you'll love having kids, Mist," he said, taking her hand. She snatched it back, still crying. "Think; a little baby! Pikachu will love it!"

"I don't bloody care," Misty growled, looking up through tear-stained eyelids. "What kind of freak DOES that? Not tells his wife he's made her pregnant?"

"We don't know for certain!" Ash cried. Misty scoffed at him.

"OK, then, Ash. No, we don't know for certain. But if we're not having a baby then I've probably got some horrible disease or something, and it's all your fault!"

"It doesn't work like that," Ash said hastily. Misty quelled him with a Look.

"I'm buying a pregnancy test when we get to Snowpoint, I'm booking a second room and I'm not going to talk to you until I know for certain whether we're having a baby," Misty hissed, turning her back on Ash and folding her arms.

Ash sat back in his chair, eyes closed. He ran a hand through his hair, thinking hard...
