When I got back to my house in District 13 I laid my bag of jack rabbits on my kitchen table and started to make dinner Peeta would be home soon. He decided to take over the roll of controlling everything in the districts. He was a fair ruler he stopped the games and made 13 the new capitol of Panem he didn't have the people work unless the wanted to and at the end of there work day they would get money to buy things and if they couldn't afford anything to eat they could simply go to the Hob in there area and get a meal for each person in there family. I loved how everything was going even though I would get nightmares here and there they weren't every night any more they were just simply about the games, Snow, Coin and her...the little duck with the beautiful blonde hair my dads eyes and my moms nose. I tried to stop thinking of my sister as my eyes filled with tears. Gale was still in District 2 he never really came to visit anymore since I married Peeta and we had our first child my little girl Rose...She looked a lot like me same hair and face but she had Peeta's personality she was like a nicer version of me we named her after the same flower Prim was named after the Prim Rose. I don't even think Gale has heard of my 2nd child Jay he had blonde curly hair and Peeta's looks but had my personality he was very stubborn we named him after the Mocking Jay. We tried to reach Gale the day Jay was born but he never responded so we let him be it's been 3 years since I saw him I don't know how he's doing if he found a special girl or if he was even still alive that wrried me the most I mean it's been more sfe since Petta took over but there were still some crazy people out there who still favored the old Capitol the one run by late President Snow and the one's still mad at me for killing President Coin when at that moment I was suppose to assassinate Snow but if those people had tried to kill anyone Peeta simply locked them up instead of killing them as Snow or Coin would have done.

After everyone got home we sat down to eat dinner.

"Mom , Dad guess what we learned about in history today" Rose said. This was one of those moments when my memories of the Hunger Games came flooding back.

"What would that be?" Peeta said noticing my lack of words he knew how I felt about talking about the Dark Days especially with one of my children so he as always used his gentle words to calm me but also to talk to our daughter about her day at school.

"Well we learned about the hunger games and about mommy and you being the best thing that ever happened to our Nation" she said with the biggest smile on her face she always loved the idea of us being so popular she's 9 already Jay was born when she was 6 we already had the talk to her about the revolution and how we were apart of it she didn't really understand much at that time but we figured we didn't want her to hear about it in school before we told her about it.

"Oh well that's great" Peeta said with a clearly fake smile on his face.

"Oh uh Katniss we managed to get a hold of some one you might want to talk to" he said changing the subject from the games.

"Who?" I asked confused

"Gale"

"Oh and how is he?" I asked

"Well I really don't know why don't you ask him tomorrow when you see him" he said his reply shocked me. he started to tell me how he found gale working in a weapon factory and asked him to come and visit Gale accepted and he was on his way now I tried to hold in my excitement but it was really hard. Tomorrow I was going to see my best friend and I couldn't wait.
