A/N: Happy birthday Ju-chan. I hope the time difference doesn't make it late, but here is the oneshot I promised you. It's rather short though…

Anyway, you said you wanted fluff? Well, this might just give you cavities. And I'm quite sure Kurogane is at least a bit ooc… but enjoy^^

A soft snoring sound came from the only bed in the room, its occupants both still asleep. It was morning now, and soon the two would wake up to start their day, but for now they slept on not seeing the light of the sunrise, or hearing the songs of the birds.

Stirring slightly, Kurogane opened his eyes, blinking once, twice before turning his head to the left. His face already relaxed from the sleep, softened as he caught sight of his lover, still sleeping soundly. Even after all this time, Fai had still not shed his habit of sleeping face down.

This was the time of the day Kurogane liked the best. He rather enjoyed studying the relaxed face of the other, noticing all the little things about him he didn't have time to when Fai was always running around the place.

He noticed the straight line of his nose, the curve of his ear and silkiness of the blond strands of hair that was strewn across his face.

This was the only time he would allow a gentle smile to rest on his face, his private personality ensuring that only smirks would touch his lips when in the presence of others.

Smiling he ran a finger gently down Fai's check, careful not wake the blond from his slumber. The fair skin was soft and warm to his touch, and Kurogane took a moment to revel in it.

Fai was beautiful, even more so in this almost fragile golden glow of the sunrise. Kurogane wasn't a man of many words, believing his actions could speak much louder than anything he could say. But now, as he lay beside his lover, he started thinking if he might not have said too little.

When was the last time he had told Fai he loved him?

Shaking his head to rid himself of these unusual thoughts, Kurogane settled back into the bed turning to stare up at the ceiling.

It didn't matter how often he told Fai, he knew the blonde understood him even without words.

He felt the bed shift next to him, and felt a pair of warm arms snaking around him. Fai's head came to rest atop his chest and Kurogane rested a hand lightly in the blond locks.

"Morning." He grunted, though with a soft undertone to his voice.

"Mmm, morning." Fai murmured, still just getting out of his dreams. Kurogane ran his hand absently through Fai's hair, waiting for the other to wake up completely.

"What day is it?" Fai mumbled against the shirt Kurogane wore to bed.

"Sunday." Kurogane answered glancing down at the mop of hair that was all he could currently see of Fai's face. He could tell that Fai was becoming more awake by the second.

"Hmm. Then its pancake day." He said, finally raising his head to look at Kurogane.

"Better get started then." He continued, quickly pecking Kurogane on the lips before rolling of the bed.

"I'll get started on breakfast, so go take a shower Kuro-sleepy." Fai teased smiling as he exited the room. Kurogane snorted at how his lover seemed to forget who was the first one awake, but rose anyway to go take that shower.

And just like that, the moment had passed, the golden sunlight evening out to its usual shade and only the unmade bed spoke of the scene that had just been.

But the very next morning the sun would rise again, and with it the two lovers from their sleep. And though this moment could never be repeated, another one, just as magical, would come to be in this very room.

A/N: hmm, the ending became a bit… fairy taley I guess…
