Silent Fantasy
Silence. That was all that I heard. I knew that the priest was speaking, his mouth was moving, but I couldn't hear him. I had blocked every sound out of my head. I felt deaf, and I might as well have been because the undisturbed silence I was experiencing was enough that I could have heard a pin drop. I stared at the coffin that lay in front of me, and a million tears rolled down my face and landed on my lap. I, Rinoa Heartilly, could still not quite let what had happened register in my brain. Squall Leonhart, the only boy I had ever truly loved, was dead. I remember the horrible scene of his death vividly.
I had been a year after SeeD had defeated Edea, when she rose again. This time Edea was more powerful and brutal than before. Squall and I had entered Edea's domain hopes of defeating her once and for all.
Squall had cautiously approached Edea with his Gunblade, expecting a fight. Edea suddenly activated a shield to keep me from intervening with their battle. I realized that it was only I that could not get through, but my weapon could make it. I drew my blaster edge and aimed for Edea. Just in time to see her run a spike through Squall's chest. I screamed an, in anger, aimed my blaster edge straight for Edea's black heart. The blaster edge flew threw the air and hit Edea exactly where I aimed.
The look of shock and pain on Edea's face was priceless. The shield came down and I ran towards Squall. He had sunk to his knees; the enormous spike was protruding from his chest. I bent down and looked into Squalls eyes. "It's going to be okay." I said, although I was also reassuring myself. With great strength, I pulled the spike from Squall's body, and he fell, but I caught him. Squall cringed, and I lay his head onto my lap.
Then, Edea struck me with my own weapon that had been lying next to me. I cringed, as my back began to bleed. "Wait for me." I whispered to Squall, and picked up his gunblade. I turned around, and faced Edea. I had never used a gublade but I had to do it. The gunblade was horribly heavy, but I managed to lift it. Edea slashed my arm with the blaster edge, which hurt immensely. It took all of my stranth, but I held Squalls gunblade in the air, and brought it down on Edea. It slashed her skin from her left shoulder, across her chest and stomach diagonally, and it stopped at her right hand. Edea collapsed, and her blood began to spill all over the ground. I bit my lip, I had never hurt anyone like that. I turned around and walked back over to Squall.
I knelt down and lifted Squall's head. His eyes were half closed, and he was looking at me. His face was mixed with sadness and bitter triumph. "Edea. is she dead?" Squall forced the words out of his mouth. I tried to smile, but tears were rapidly running down my face. Yes, she is gone." I replied. Squall smiled, and lifted a hand to my face. "Take care of yourself." He whispered. "You're one of a kind." His breathing became quieter, and his eyes began to close. "No, Squall!" I was now helplessly crying. "Goodbye. thank you. for teaching me. how. to love." He said, running out of breath. I leaned down, looking straight into his eyes. "I love you." I said to him, and he replied back. "I love you. too." These were the last words that ever passed his lips.

She helped me write the last paragraph, and re-worded some parts
For me. This story wouldn't be as good without her! Thank you Karen! (btw: Her Fanfiction.net sn is The Grim, read her stories!)
