Marco took a deep breath. He and Star were alone on the roof. He had called her up there because there was something he desperately needed to tell her. He held up the piece of paper so that he could read it in the light of the setting sun. "Marco? You wanted to tell me something?" Star inquired. "Yeah. Here goes nothing." Marco took another deep breath and began to sing the song he had written for Star.
"So deep are your eyes I could swim in them forever
Seeing your smile turns on happy like a lever
The connection between us cannot be severed

Star was staring at Marco blankly. Nervous, he continued.
"The demons below and the Angels above

A little smile was on Star's face now, and her hearts were glowing dimly.
