"I AM… THE DOCTOR."
"No you're not." The woman looked amused. "You're James."
"The Doctor."
"James."
"The Doctor."
"James."
"THE DOCTOR."
"JAMES."
James 'hmphed' and leaned back against the couch, watching the end credits flash.
His mother took that as his silent white flag and smiled warmly. "I have pie in the kitchen-"
"PIE!" James took off the couch and flew into the kitchen quickly, making his mother blink as she saw a blur of blue pass her.
She rolled her eyes and collapsed on the couch, picking up the remote and turning back to the TV menu. "If you bring me a piece we'll watch another episode!"
James once again found himself on the couch.
"Have I mentioned you're the best mum ever?" the boy asked with pie stuck to his face.
His mother smiled as she flicked the crumbs off his nose. "Yes, and I love you too James."
And then the child wearing a gas mask appeared on the screen effectively drawing the attention away from the two.
And that was how the rest of the day was spent.
(They ran out of pie halfway through, much to James's disappointment.)
I don't know where this came from in all honesty. It's late and I'm trying to boost my fandoms list. Yay.
