Axel took a deep breath as he stared off into the abyssal-like sky. He often wondered what it would feel like to die. To only live in the world a spirit. His life was already over as it is, he was alone in this world. Yes, all alone with no one to care for him, no family to love him, to nurture him and to help him take care of his needs. All he had was her. Flipping over onto his side, his hips lay on the ashen grass, staring into her sapphire eyes.
"I wonder how we got like this," He told her. She glances at him and smiles.
"What do you mean? We've always been together silly," She giggled.
"Yeah, you got me there," he smiled.
Suddenly, he lies besides her flat on his back. With hesitation, he prepared to ask her what has been on his mind for an eternity.
"… E, Eve do you think this will last? Us I mean," He asked. His own sapphire eyes shutting in embarrassment for the weakness he displayed.
"Axel," she said.
She glanced at him and smiled. Her eyes steeled and she prepared herself for what she was going to say.
"I am only here because you were in need of me. No matter how long, I will always be here." She exclaimed.
"After all, we are bound by an energy that can never be diminished." She smiled solemnly.
He stared at her with wide eyes and smiled. He turns and reaches his hand to grasp her astral ones. As he nears her hand, he stops an inch away. As if scared to go on; his hand phases through hers, reality dividing them apart. He grits his teeth in anger.
"One day, I will make it a reality. I promise Eve," He declared.
