Blaine looked himself in the mirror one last time. The bowtie was where it was supposed to be, of course it was, why shouldn't it be?

Shit, he was so nervous. He looked up from the bowtie and into his own eyes. They were hazel, he knew that very well, though Kurt had on multiple occasions said that there were a little bit of green in them when you looked very deeply into them. Blaine took a deep breath and smoothed out the folds on his tux.

It was time.

Blaine took the bouquet with the red and yellow roses that had through their time together become like their signature flowers. He smiled down at them in his hands. It was going to be perfect.

Blaine slowly walked up the stairs to the roof where he knew Kurt would be, trying to calm down his nerves but still with a slight smile on his lips. This was finally happening. The moment they've been waiting for. Their moment.

He walked onto the roof and looked around for Kurt, flowers still in hand.

Kurt was standing slightly bend over gate that was sat up to protect people from falling off the roof, he looked beautiful as ever in the suit he was still wearing from the event he'd just been attending. Kurt breathed out in the cold evening air, unaware of the man observing him before he turned around and met his eyes.

The foreplay to their song started playing a second after and they both stood there looking at each other. Blaine excited and a little anxious. Kurt with an expression Blaine couldn't quite place. Maybe it was just the surprise of him showing up here, that had to be it. The foreplay ended and Blaine began to sing.

Never knew I could feel like this

Like I've never seen the sky before

Want to vanish inside your kiss

Kurt exhaled the breath he had been holding, still holding onto the gate but now from behind. Blaine sung the next lines to Kurt like he'd die if he didn't get to.

Seasons may change, winter to spring

But I love you until the end of time

Blaine's heart had never been beating so fast. Not even when he gave all of himself to Kurt for the first time. It was beating for Kurt. Then the song went into chorus and Kurt was still breathing hard, looking at Blaine like he was a wild animal ready to attack him.

Come what may

Come what may

I will love you until my dying day

Now was the moment where Kurt would join in and sing along to the song that had forever been their song.

They had never sung the song together before because they'd agreed a long time ago that they wanted to wait until that special moment. The perfect moment they had thought would be at their now the moment had arisen a lot sooner.

They'd both made mistakes and now it was time to make up for it, by singing this beautiful song to each other, letting their eternal feelings show.

Only, he didn't.

"How dare you?" Kurt demanded to know in a shaky voice, tears welling up in his blue eyes as he pushed himself past Blaine before he could get to answer.

A broken sob escaped the taller man's chest as he rushed down the stairs.

Blaine dropped the bouquet, starring into the distance.
